Appropriateness to the design concept Surface qualities, such as texture and pattern Colour and light reflection and absorption qualities Visual stability to intended mood or atmosphere Balance, size and proportion of the space
3) ECOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS
Environmental impact for acquisition and manufacturing Renewal resources Capability to be recycled Nontoxic to users.
4) ECONOMIC CONSIDERATIONS
Initial cost of material, shipping and installation. Availability of material. Cost of maintenance and possible replacement.
