Features of MCS
• Teachers can customize the course for
EACH student or Group of students to
meet specific goals and objectives.
Features of MCS
• Individualized Instruction
– Course is individualized according to
performance.

Features of MCS
• Customizing Capability
– Teachers can create a custom course that
includes only selected strands at a given
grade level to provide work in one or more
content areas.
– You can assign a custom course to a student
in addition to assigning the full course.
Features of MCS

IMMEDIATELY to a breakdown in
algorithmic exercises.
• Delayed Presentation – A skill that is not
mastered is marked for delayed
presentation.
• IPM
• Worksheets

Ideas for Classroom Use
• Whole Course Presentation – student
progresses throughout the course having
all strands presented as per default.
• Single Strand - Using the reference
manual, match the objectives in MCS with
what is being taught in class. Shut all
other strands off.
Ideas for Classroom use
• Creating an Alias – Students can have two
logins. One login can take them through
course eclectically, and another can focus
on one strand at a time.
• Speed Games - Strands can be turned on
or off, but if a strand is set as inactive,
then no speed games exercises involving
that operation are presented.
Ideas For Classroom Use
• Math Groups - using an alias login, sets
of students can be grouped according to
strand, or level.
