PROACTIVE
  

Means more than taking initiative It means being responsible for our lives That our behaviour is a function of our decision not our condition That feelings can be subordinated to values Possession of both initiative and responsibility to make things happen

RESPONSIBILITY


Response-ability: ability to choose response Proactive people recognizes that responsibility They dont blame circumstance, condition or conditioning for their behaviour. Their behaviour is a conscious choice based on values rather than conditions and feelings

REACTIVE VERSUS PROACTIVE




Conditioning and conditions control us if we empower them to Reactive people are affected easily be their environment Proactive people carry their weather with them Proactive people are able to subordinate impulse to value

Our list of concern includes: health, children, work, debt, economy, war etc Some of these things are outside our influence while others are The gap between our circles of concern and that of influence is a measure of our proactivity
