ABSTRACT
The Port Information Management System is aimed at

developing an application for maintaining vessel schedule, pending trades, recruitment, tidal predictions, tariff details and other port details.
The user has the privilege to view all the above

information and can apply for jobs by sending their resumes. They can also post their comments and complaints on the site.
The Administrator maintains all the information about

the port, updates it and also recruits the candidates.

EXISTING SYSTEM
The system contains the static information of the port like

geography, contact, logistics, job opportunities etc.

The system also maintains the vessel schedule information. It also contains the tariff information of equipments and

cargo.
The jobseekers can send their resumes through emails or

by post applying for job in the specified areas.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
This system maintains the dynamic day to day information

about vessel schedule, pending trades and tidal information. The Administrator updates the tariff details of the equipments. Through this system the jobseekers can apply for the job from the port site itself. It also invites comments and complaints from the users about the site. It contains the milestones and future growth initiatives of the port. Administrator can also change his/her password.

Administrator
The Administrator can view the resumes of the

candidates of specified areas like Marine Engineering, Equipments management, Data management etc. Updates the day to day information of the vessels in the port and Cargo handling. Also maintains the Pending trades information in the port , if any. Updates the tariff of the different equipments used in the port. Views the comments and complaints from the Users.

Users
Seeing the job opportunities in the port, the job seekers can apply for the job from this system itself.
The user can view the Vessel related charges and tariff details of various equipments in the port. The User can also post comments and complaints about the site information.

The Administrator can update the tariff of the

equipments and gear hiring. The Administrator can separate the resumes of different job seekers according to the specified areas. The administrator can change password. The Customer have privilege to view updated tariff information. Validation will done in every field of resume, vessel scheduling, pending trades
