Stem cell research can lead to curing many life threatening diseases and conditions, treat paralysis, and the cells are discarded no matter what.

Cures sickness/ Replaces tissue

"{Those} Who have lost loved ones to some dread disease-Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, heart disease, diabetes-understand the urgency to do this research{to} move forward on stem cell research to try and find ways to unlock the mysteries." Byron Dorgan

Treats Paralysis

"This clinical trial represents another step forward in Shepherd Center's involvement in an attempt to find a cure for paralysis in people with spinal cord injury. - Dr. David Apple

Wasted Cells
There are roughly 400,000 embryos that are now cryogenically frozen at these clinics. Somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 each year are simply discardedThose who say that the use of those embryos for research is the equivalent of murder, I believe also probably say the same of the discarding of embryos that are not going to be used-that it represents 8,000 or 10,000 murders a year. Byron Dorgan

"self deception to say these are living human beings. These embryos are never going to be implanted." Ruth Macklin

Solely Excitement
Laura Dominguez Waste Research=Advancement

Stem cell research has can lead to curing paralysis, treating diseases and dangerous conditions, and the cells are wasted anyways.
