Orems theory in closing

The Orem theory in a whole represents what nurses are taught in school. Nurses look at patients as a whole being, not just the disease that is presented to us. The Orem theory provides us with evidence as to why the patient must be looked at as a whole. Her theory meets the metaparadigm of nursing, which includes meeting the patients needs through the aspect of health, environment, the person, and nursing.
