INTRODUCTION WORKING PRINCIPLE PROPULSION SYSTEM CONCEPT OF NON STOP BULLET TRAIN ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES CONCLUSION
BULLET TRAIN MAY REFER AS: The shinkasen high speed of trains of Japan, so nicknamed for there speed and appearance. The shinkasen is also named as Bullet train, is a network of high speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan Railway Group companies.Starring with the 210 Km/h Tokaido Shinkasen in 1964. Test run have reached 443 Km/h for conventional rail in 1996 and the world record was made by the Manglev Train sets in 2003 of 581 Km/h Shinkasen literally means new trunk line, referring to the tracks, but the name is widely used inside and outside Japan to refer to the trains as well as the whole system.
TYPES OF MAGNET USED:This train used superconducting electric magnets in the vehicle to levitate and propel the train. These magnets are cooled by helium or liquid nitrogen. This means that once electrified these magnet does not require any additional energy.
PROPULSION:An alternative current is ran through electromagnetic coils on the guide walls of the guide way. This creates the magnetic field .That attract and repel the superconducting magnets on the train and propel the train forward. Braking is accomplished by sending an alternative current in the reverse direction so that it is slowed by attractive and repulsive forces.
LEVITATION:The passing of the superconducting magnet of fig 8 levitation coils on the side of the track induces a current in the coil and creates a magnetic field. This pushes the train upward so that it can levitate 10 cm above the track. The train does not levitate until it reaches 50 mph , so it is equipped with retractable wheels.
Let us assume that there are 30 stations between Two cities, just stopping and accelerating again at each station will waste both energy and time. If train takes 5 min at each station will result a total loss of {5min X 30 stations = 2.5 hours} of journey time delay.
The passenger at a station embarked onto a connector cabin way before the train even arrives at the station.
When the train arrives ,it will not stop at all. It just slows down to pick up the connector cabin which will move with train on the roof of the train.
While the train is still travelling away from the station, those passenger will board the train from the connector cabin mounted on the trains roof. After fully unloading all its passengers, the connector cabin will be moved back of the train so that the next batch of outgoing passengers who want to alright at the next station will board the connector cabin at the rear of the train roof
When the trains arrives at the next station, it will simply drop the whole connector cabin at the station itself and leave it behind at the station. At the same time it will pick the next connector cabin from the station, tooo
SAFETY
1. The train are virtually impossible to derail because the train is wrapped around the track. 2. Collision between trains are unlikely because computers are controlling the trains movement
MAINTANENCE
1. There is very little maintenance because there is no contact between the parts.
The ride is comfortable while accelerating. Non-stop concept saves both time and energy
Basically there is no disadvantage as compared to its advantages. 1. Its produces noise pollution. 2. Sharp turns are quite not possible. 3. As it is fully computer controlled any technical fault can cause accident.
It is no longer Science Friction, Bullet Trains are the new ways of transportation in the near future, just some obstacle are in the way, but with some researches nothing is impossible . With no engine, no wheel ,no pollution new source of energy floating on air, the concept has taken 10 years to develop, just recently its true capacity has been realized competing planes with speed, boats with efficiency, trains with safety.
