INTRODUCTION
Asian

Development Bank (ADB). It Forecast Indias Growth for the current financial year to 8.5%. Earlier in april 2010 ADB forecast India's growth was 8.2%. ADB is also concern over persistent high rate of inflation and Rising value of rupee, which can undermine future economic growth.

Purpose of ADB
Foster economic and co-operation in the region of Asia and the far east. Contribute to the acceleration of the process of economic development of developing member countries

Function of ADB
To promote investment in the region of private and public capital for development purposes. Financial development of the developing member countries through national projects and programmes. To provide technical assistance for the preparation, financing and execution of development projects and programmes.

Membership
Membership in the Bank shall be open to: (1) members and associate members of the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and Far East; and (2) other regional countries and non-regional developed countries which are members of the United Nations or any of its specialized agencies. Vote of 2/3rd of the total number of Governors, representing not less than 3/4th of the total voting power of the members.

OBJECTIVE
The current trend of growth rate in asian countries. Comparision between Indias growth against other asian countries. ADB and its contribution to Asia and Pacific region.
