Combustion Inspection (CI) (12,000FFH)


The combustion inspection consists in a short disassembly shutdown inspection of fuel nozzles, liners, transition pieces, crossfire tubes and retainers, spark plug assemblies, flame detectors and combustor flow sleeves. All those components may require repair or replacement at a CI Average budgetary amount for new parts & services: 12 Meuros (transactional) Average duration: 2 weeks Critical Inspection for Gas Turbine Reliability and emission levels control

Main Inspection events

Hot Gas Path Inspection (HGP) (24,000FFH)


The purpose of a hot gas path inspection is to examine those parts exposed to high temperatures from the hot gases discharged from the combustion process. The hot gas path inspection includes the full scope of the combustion inspection and, in addition, a detailed inspection of the turbine nozzles, stator shrouds and turbine buckets. All those components may require repair or replacement at a HGP Average budgetary amount for new parts & services: 42.5M Euros (transactional)

Average duration: 4 to 5 weeks

Main Inspection events

Major Inspection (MI) (48,000 Hours)


The purpose of the major inspection is to examine all of the internal rotating and stationary components from the inlet of the machine through the exhaust. This inspection consists of complete combustion and hot gas path inspections, in addition to laying open the complete flange-to-flange gas turbine to the horizontal joints, Removal of all of the upper casings allows access to the compressor rotor and stationary compressor blades, as well as to the bearing assemblies. Average budget for new parts & services: 43.5M Euros (transactional) Average duration: 6 to 8 weeks Critical Inspection for Gas Turbine Reliability, Safety and emission levels control. More over this is also an essential operation to preserve and recover the Power and efficiency of the machine.

Only CSA provides added value for among others:

If the planned intervals or the planned life of the parts vary from expectations, GE will cover all additional cost in a CSA, without a CSA this is extra costs to be beard by customer. Market Price Fluctuation risk coverage A CSA includes international indexes that vary with the overall economy, indexes can be adjusted to better match customer environment (European Labour)

CSA integrates a GE Contract Performance Manager to coordinate all GE actions with clients obligations CSA also integrates remote monitoring solution
