1. God judges and restores nations based upon leadership
A. Isaiah 3:12 God s judgment and the Book of Judges as example of restoration.

Reform the Church to restore America

A. It has been hundreds of years since the church has held up her beliefs, worldview, and actions to the light of Scripture. B. Lamentations 4:12, 13 reveals wickedness cannot rise in power and capture the gates of the land, except it passes through the sins and failures of the Church.
1. A tyrannical state and a church that veers from God s truth walk hand in hand. 2. The Church is the salt and light of the world. Culture is religion externalized. Culture is God s report card on the effectiveness of His Church in fulfilling the Cultural Mandate and the Great Commission.

3. The third reason is to address the failure of the Church in training her young.
A. Judges 2:10 states, And also all that generation were gathered to their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
Josh McDowell discloses that only twenty-six percent of twentyprofessing Christian teenagers are absolutely committed to the Christian faith. Only nine percent of born again teenagers believe in moral absolutes. According to Focus on the Family, Sixty three percent of Evangelicals reject the notion of absolute truth.

Only thirty-three percent of churched youth say that the church thirtywill have any part of their lives when they leave home.

3. The third reason is to address the failure of the Church in training her young, ( Cont.):
Various denominational leaders estimate that between sixty-nine and sixtyninetyninety-four percent of their youth will leave their church at high school graduation or the freshman year of college, and never return. The Nehemiah Institute surveys Christian children in secular and Christian schools, comparing their worldviews. According to the Nehemiah Institute, eightyeighty-five percent of youth from Christian homes who attend government schools do not embrace even a nominal biblical worldview. For the most part, they hold to a secular view of life. They register on the worldview scale on the lower half of humanism, which is one step away from socialism. What about Christian youth who attend Christian private schools? While more of them are Christian in their beliefs, only a mere six percent hold to what could be considered a solid, Biblical, theistic worldview. The majority register in the top half of a humanistic worldview.
 Conclusion: The majority of Christian children, reared in Christian homes, and Conclusion: who attend Christian churches are walking in lockstep with the world. They embrace worldviews that cannot sustain our nation, nor secure a hope for our future.  The Church must repent of the Hezekiah mentality that has endangered our young.

Systematic Study of the Scriptures:
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death ~ Proverbs 8:33-36. 8:331. Reformation and Revival. In Luke 5:37 39, Jesus spoke of the need of a new wineskin to contain the new wine. In context, he was revealing the awesome transition the world was undergoing as God was shifting from the Old Covenant into the New Covenant. In the same way, revival without reformation will not be able to contain or sustain God s intervention in the affairs of men. 2. The discipline of reading through the Bible each year is essential to reformation and restoring the biblical worldview our modern age has discarded.

3. Multi-generational Kingdom vision: The family altar must be Multirebuilt and a commitment to a life-long exercise of daily Bible lifereading must be practiced. It is imperative to present God s truth in context, which done properly, creates a firmer foundation for learning. Furthermore, this discipline rewards us with an increased comprehension of Almighty God s divine attributes and characteristics.
It will help curb as well the Christian cafeteria approach as it relates to the truth of Scripture. Correct the feel-good religion and the gospel of self-improvement feelselfmentality. We need the whole counsel of God to contend for the faith in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. Acts 20:27 Truly, a biblically illiterate people enable a corrupt culture, strengthen Truly, oppressors, and victimize the weak.

SelfSelf-Education:
1. In the arrogance of the modern age, we tend to think that newer is better. Thus, we assume that we are superior in spirituality, revelation, and intellect to those who have gone before us. The truth is, however, that we are standing on the shoulders of giants. 2. The second requirement for the Kingdom Leadership Institute is for each candidate to commit to the study of theology, history, and biographies. 3. We need the challenge and inspiration of the great men and women of the faith who preceded us. We need to emulate Christians, who fought battles, made incredible sacrifices, stood for God s principles even in the face of insurmountable odds, and, by their lives and martyrdom altered the course of nations and civilizations. These are the heroes our children desperately need as examples, not the cult of celebrities who may be beautiful and prosperous on the outside but inside are full of dead man s bones and everything unclean.

Discipleship:
And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit you to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2). 1. Disciple means disciplined one. Unfortunately, this has become a foreign topic and another casualty in the modern age. Our nation is addicted to pampering and self-indulgence. It is psychologically fashionable to selfemphasize self-esteem, while God demands self-control. Thus, many selfselfAmericans today tend to want all the benefits of life but none of its responsibilities. Politically, it is evident that the majority of Americans expect our government to meet their needs, while they squander their lives. We need to expose the Peter Pan mentality that refuses to grow up and the flight from maturity that plagues this generation. We need to challenge the entitlement mentality that is bankrupting our nation.

Discipleship (Cont.):
2. According to a definition in Encarata Dictionary, discipline is the Dictionary, conscious control over lifestyle. As mentioned previously, discipline strives to obtain the fruit of the spirit known as self-control, which is the selfkey to self-government and the subsequent blessing of liberty (Galatians self5:22 23). Children in America s past achieved such control, which is why President John Quincy Adams, at the tender age of fourteen, served as the private secretary of the American envoy to Russia. To be an effectual leader in the kingdom of God like our sixth president, our young need discipline. 3. Christian discipleship is a relationship built on mentoring.

A. If we as Christian men are not reproducing ourselves in others we are failing to disciple the nations. B. Discipleship begins in the home, spreads in the church, and flows to the nations.

Taking the Gospel to the Gates:
1. The last requirement of the fourfold vision of the Kingdom Leadership Institute is to engage the culture by taking the gospel of the kingdom to the gates of the city. The challenge is to profess Christ s Lordship in every area of life and culture, with special emphasis on where the battle rages. 2. Martin Luther stated, If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.

Taking the Gospel to the Gates (Cont.):
Any place the enemy savages the souls of men and our country; there the good soldier of Jesus Christ proves his loyalty to Christ. There are demonic strongholds in our land that are invoking the wrath of God upon our heads. Just like the notable Christians from history, we must engage the enemy, culture, and our communities with the truth of God s Word. Our continual silence and inaction enables the powers of darkness to wreck havoc in our beleaguered land. Christian patriots are needed to stand in the gap and make up the hedge once again. We cannot accomplish this within the four walls of the church. The expectation put forth to each Kingdom Leadership Institute candidate is to fight the good fight of faith at local abortion clinics, pornography establishments, homosexual events, and in the stately halls of civil government. The call is to be salt and light, wherever recognition of a spiritual breach is producing rot in our communities. Through this manual, this godly challenge expands to include you, the reader. God can reform the church and restore America. These godly goals are possible if we summon the courage to change. The ultimate objective is to give God a reason to show mercy to our spoiled, immoral nation begging for his judgments. The Gentle Revolution is on! Will you join? Prayerfully, the rest of this manual will convince, equip, and train you to cross the line of obedience, which will unleash the power of God in your life that will effect time and history.
