 Monitoring of Organics using
Manual Samplers
• A known volume of air sample is passed
through a tube packed with Activated
Charcoal or Tenax. The organic vapors are
adsorbed on the charcoal.
• The collected vapors are desorbed using a
suitable solvent like CS2 and analyzed with
the help of a Gas Chromatograph.
• Using this method one or a mixture of
compounds can be sampled.
• With the APM 856 Samples averaged over
several hours can be collected making it
possible to compare values obtained with
Standards.
