Microwave Access
mWireless digital communication also known as
IEEE 802.16
mProvides broadband wireless access upto 30 miles
for fixed stations and 3-10 miles for mobile stations
mAllows user to browse the internet on a laptop
without physically connecting it to a router
mInvolves microwaves for the transfer of data
wirelessly
IXED WiMAX: these deployments do not cater
for handoff between base station therefore the
service provider cannot offer mobility

User sends data from a subscriber device to a base
station with the help of a modem and antenna
connected to the subscriber device ( line of sight or
non line of sight). This base station or WiMAX tower
transmitts this data on the ISP ETWORK . This
transmitted data gets divided into numerous data
streams by this ISP ETWORK, where anyone is
allowed to use this transmitted data. Then this data is
tranferred to another base station where the data is
required and then to the another user who wants to
use this data for his puposes.

We can get a connection wherever we may be.
When it will be fully developed we no longer be
limited to 300 feets within the Wi-i hotspot.we
donot have to drive around looking for a
connection
