 Well casing and cementing is

one of the critical stage in oil
and gas industry. Why??

Hazard Identification is a proactive process to identify hazards

and eliminate or minimize/reduce the risk of injury/illness to
workers and damage to property, equipment and the
environment.

OBJECTIVE OF STUDY

SPDC is currently developing Assa North- Ohaji South Gas

Project. SPDC engaged FOKAADOS to carry out Hazard
Identification and Risk Assessment in other to;

 identify the hazards inherent in Well casing and cementing

 carry out risk assessment from each of the identified hazards

 recommend control measures to mitigate the risks

CONCLUSION
• The hazards associated with drilling involve the subsurface,
mechanical, and operational aspects that have economic,
environmental, and safety consequences.
• The effects of these hazards found in casing and cementing
have implications on the project completion, economic
performance, and professional reputation.
• Managing and mitigating the casing and cementing hazards
found is an important aspect of engineering and geological
projects.
• The management often requires advanced technologies and
predrilling surveys. When evaluating the success of drilling
projects, it is necessary to view them in terms of timely
completions, in a safe manner, using the available
technology while minimizing overall costs.
