THE IMPLICATION OF

FINANCIAL PROBLEM TO
H.E. STUDENTS OF N.N.H.S.

INTRODUCTION
 
Financial allowance is a small amount of money that is regularly given to students by their
parents it is usually given for a specific purpose, like buying snacks, for their transportation, but
contributions are not included. And in this case students experience shortage of allowance it’s because
they do not know how to budget their allowance.
If you know how to budget your allowance you can buy all you need and also you can save
money for the next following days because saving money is one way of overcoming shortage of
allowance this problem was experienced by some of the students it’s because their parents are
unemployed, their incomes are not enough, parents should have plan in order for them to prevent
financial problem.
This study, the researchers suggest that parents should know how to manage finances for
everyday because students nowadays are experiencing shortage of money and students also should
know how to save and earn money for their selves to avoid shortage of allowance for their children.
SCOPE AND DELIMINATION
This study focus on the effects of allowance problems in the academic performance of the students. Moreover,
it only identifies the effects of allowance problem regarding the academic performance of the H.E. students.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


The study determined “The Implication of Financial problem to H.E. students of NNHS”
Specifically, this study attempted to answer the following questions:
The profile of H.E. students:
Name
Grade and Section
Gender
Age
How students spend their daily allowance.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
This study aims to help the students of SHS to overcome financial problem insufficiency which affects their
performance. It has for input the profile of the respondents and the questionnaires about the problem.
As the process of the study the analysis of the significant difference in the discourse complexity of the
SHS students.
The expected output of the study is identified effects of financial problem of the SHS students of
NNHS.

Research design
This study used the qualitative method of research. The qualitative researchers have no control over what is
and can only measure what already exists.
 
Respondents of the study
The respondents of the study were the SHS students of Naguilian National High School. The researchers
sought 20 respondents in which the respondents are from the H.E.
Data gathering instrument
The researchers will gather data through a questionnaire and will be used to obtain figures and facts in
relation to the purpose of the study.
The questionnaire / checklist consists of 5 questions with 5 choices each wherein the questionnaire who
would like to get the idea of the respondents about the Implication of Financial Problem to the H.E. students of
NNHS.
  
Data gathering procedure
Before the study was conducted, the researchers first sought permission from the SHS Teachers and the
respondents upon the approval, the researchers will gather data through the questionnaire. The researchers will
personally administer the questionnaire and retrieve it on the same day.

The age profile of the respondents is presented in


table 1. The data ages of the 20 respondents wherein 10%
of them are 15 years old - 50% or majority of them are 16
years old. While 25% of them are 17% years old. And
lastly, 5% of them are 19 years old.

Table 2 presents the frequency and percentage


distribution of respondents according to gender. Its
reveals 50% of the respondents are male and 50% percent
of them are females.

The table shows the data gathered from the questionnaire answered by 20
respondents. The question is How much is your daily allowance wherein 25%
answered letter A which is 20-40. 45% of them answered letter B which is 41-60. 20%
of them answered letter D which is 81-100 and 10% of them answered letter E which
is 101 above.

These shows the data gathered on the questionnaire answered by the 20 respondents.
In question #2 How much do you spend in a day? Among the 20 respondents, 15% of
them answered letter A which is 10-15 25% of them answered letter B which is 16-25 and
25% of them answered letter C which is 26-30 and 20% of them answered letter D which is
31-40 lastly 15% of them answered letter E which is 41 above.

The table shows the answers of the respondents in the question, how much money can
you save daily? Among the 20 respondents, 35% of them answered letter A which is 5-10,
15% answered letter B which is 11-15, 15% answered letter C which is 15-20, 5% answered
letter D which is 21-25, and lastly 30% answered letter E which is 30 above.

The table shows the answers of the respondents on the question, if you have vices
how much do you consume for it? Where 40% answered letter A which is 20-30, 35%of
them answered letter B which is 31-40, 15% of them answered letter C which is 41-50,
5% of them answered letter D which is 51-60 and lastly 5% answered letter E which is
60 above.

The table shows the answers of the respondents on the question, how much money do
you spend for your transportation daily, where 50% answered letter A which is 10-20, 30% of
them answered letter B which is 21-35, 15% of them answered letter C which is 36-45, 10%
answered letter D which is 46-60 and lastly 0% for letter E which is 60 above.
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
 
This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusion, and recommendations drawn from the result of
the study.
The study looks into the effects of financial problem. Specially this study will answer the following
problems.
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
A. Age
B. Gender
1. How much is your daily allowance?
2. How much do you spend in a day?
3. How much money can you spend daily?
4. If you have vices how much do you consume for it?
5. How much money do you spend for your transportation?
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
 
The findings of the study are cited were of each which answered the specific problems.
Most of the respondents are 16 years old and 50% percent of them are female and male.
Looking into the difference of financial problem and age profile, according to age, there is no significant
difference in the academic performance however, there is a difference in the academic performance of H.E.
students.
Moreover, it is also found out that the effects of financial problem and the academic performance of the
H.E. students do not significantly differ.
Likewise, the academic performance of the students who experience financial problem and students
who do not experience this are significantly different. The H.E. students have different level of performance
according to age and gather their academic performance are significantly different.
CONCLUSION
 
In the wake of the findings presented and with the conditions under which the study is conducted
the following conclusions are given.
 
The SHS students are predominantly different in ages, gender and especially in their performance.
The study concludes that there is a significant difference in the performance of the students towards “The
Implication of Financial Problem to H.E. students of NNHS”.
 
Moreover, the student’s performance is somewhat affected and it is really hard for them to cope up
sometimes in their class and in actual performance because they are in experience of financial problem.
RECOMMENDATIONS
From the findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations are presented.
 
For the students
1. They should know how to budget their allowance.
2. They should know how to save extra money.
3. They must avoid buying unnecessary things.
4. They must apply part-time jobs at weekends in order to have extra income but they should know how to
manage their time.
5. They must look for scholarship available in their barangay or in school.
For the parents
6. They should know how to budget their finances or income.
7. They should look for a job in order to provide their needs.
8. They should plan first before they build their family.
9. They must put a business which they can afford for them to have extra income.
