The Façade and the overall symmetrical

hierarchy of the structure demonstrates
its character to achieve the looks of a
Church; at the front corner indicates a
bell tower.
“From this beginning, the plan of the church developed
into the so-called Latin Cross which is the shape of
most Western Cathedrals and large churches….”

Consistency of exterior design from front

to rear doesn’t really blend well along at
the sides; with this being said: the
structure only focused it’s supposed
character at the front where it is most
useful.
ROOF AND FEATURES

A roof with only two sloping sides

extends along the structure. No added
features are made to the roof but to
simply cover the building. Looking from
the front, the roof would be unnoticeable
due to it’s high façade.
The color red, as personal,(group)
opinion, somehow affected the character
of the church. Distracting from the sides,
the roof vibrantly offers its red color than
the pale, ageing yellow and whites of the
church’s façade.
 OPENINGS

Distinct size of doors and windows

varies throughout the church as it is
purposed for each use. The arch
door at the front is the largest since it
is an entrance. Large windows
appear at the side of the building,
while smaller, caved-in windows are
place the top.
Design features of doors include a
decorative lintel at the middle of the
arched entranceway, side entrances
as well.
OPENINGS
PROJECTIONS

The extruding features such as

decorative column, trimmed windows,
and arch decoration, as well as the
decorative figures of Saints at the front.
This contributes well for the overall
visual character of the building.
TRIM AND SECONDARY FEATURES

Arches have linings all around and at

some entranceway the siding column
has decorative features such as carved
Saints or symbols.
Other features are stained glass atop
the door way.
SETTING

The church is side facing the city’s national

highway making it easy to locate, and its height
also contributes for easy spotting while its
character distinguish itself to people.
- Modest housing surrounds the church inside
the lot blending its character well.
- Trees are visible in the area near the church
and at its front.
- The highway goes around the rear side of the
church. This resulted for concrete fencing
around the site of the church.
- Landscaping at one side of the church is
present.
- The church also has a statue at the front
beyond the church’s main gateway. This was
then a tree but renovated to be a statue
because it is said that the tree blocked the
façade of the church’s entranceway.
SETTING
MATERIAL

The front and rear side of the building are colored

concrete walls which features decorative additive that
contributes well to the overall visual character of the
building.

MATERIAL

On the churches' window, it used a stained glass with a

pattern resembling a saint which promotes natural lighting
and adds to the structure’s aesthetics.

CRAFT DETAIL

The details where the tabernacle is placed is outstanding.

The craftsmanship in producing such details is
exceptional. The carvings on the pediment show a dove
resembling the holy spirit. The details on the columns are
also exceptional which makes it one of the most
noticeable part of the interior of the church.
