“The impact of using digital and online tools on the
specific skills development”
 The use of computers in education is
becoming a necessity in terms of accelerated
development of informational technologies.
The school must be in touch with change, to
understand and anticipate the impact of
technology on learning process.
 Computers have been incorporated into
educational programs in the context of
student-centered learning, giving them the
freedom and flexibility in their self-training
process.

Determining the impact of the use of ICT
(Information and Communication Technology) on
the development of students’ specific skills in
teaching English

• Specific skills development through modern teaching
strategies and use of ICT resources;
• Increasing the efficiency of learning activities;
• Stimulation of autonomous learning;
• Increasing learning motivation, developing creativity and
critical thinking;
• Improving the educational outcomes.

Conclusions
 The whole system of specific competences provided by the
national curriculum for foreign language can be trained and
developed through reading, speaking, listening and writing
activities.
 Use of online learning tools contributes to the methodological
skills, learning to learn and digital competences development and
enhances learning motivation.
 Involvement in iEARN projects develops the ability of collaborating,
solving problems connected to real life situations, creates
conditions for communication in a foreign language, encouraging
the experience exchange, provides interdisciplinarity, fosters
respect and tolerance for the other nations’ culture and values,
creating a favorable environment for the development of the
whole system of foreign language specific competences.
Recommendations
English teachers are recommended:
- to use ICT in teaching process,
- to select iEARN projects that integrate the
contents recommended by the curriculum, taking
into account the needs, interests and age of the
students involved,
- to maintain an effective relationship with the
educators around the iEARN network and the
project facilitator.
