The SM Sunday Tradition Commercial uses Intimate Register. The charact
ers in the commercial showed a bond that is close, intimate and private. The
SM and Jollibee commercial showed to us that it is really important for parent
s, as well as children to openly communicate with one another. There is a uni
que bond between them that nurtures the holistic growth and development of
a child. It lays the foundation for their behavior, personality, traits and values.
The healthy involvement of parents in their children’s day to day life, helps e
nsure that their kids can perform better socially and academically.

Family bonding is important for it is the time where each of the family me
mber expresses their worries, needs and love for one another. In the commer
cial, we can see how love mends and fills every void and dull moments of our
lives. The heavy longingness of the mother for her children shows how difficul
t it can get when the things you once enjoyed have changed and when people
and situations aren't the same thing as they used to be.

This commercial also used the intimate register because it shows how the
father and the son communicate with each other and understand the needs of
each one. How he is being supported and guided by his father showed their cl

ay it be in studies, life, relationship and personal matters. Acceptance from th
eir parents will encourage them to do more and help them improve themselve
s.

The commercial showed a well communicated feelings and understanding
between the father and the son. Failures cannot replace the bond they had bu
ilt for it is being founded with love and intimate acceptance.

No matter the outcome of things, a father will always understand and will
always be proud of his son's achievements in life. And that he will accept with
no doubts and reservations the path that is meant for his son to take, even if
it is in contrary to his own will.
