Background

Work climate is one element of work that has an important role and we should not
ignore it. High-temperature jobs require the application of technology in both the
production process and the distribution process. With a comfortable work
environment, morale will increase, so will productivity.

The country of Indonesia is a tropical country, with its main characteristics being
high temperature and humidity, initial conditions like this should be a concern
because the hot work climate can affect the conditions of workers. Heat is an
important source in the production process, so it is possible for workers to be directly
exposed. If workers are exposed for a long period of time, workers who are exposed
to heat can
experience work-related illnesses, namely decreased body resistance and affect the
onset of health problems, thereby affecting productivity and work efficiency. The
hot work climate is a burden on the body, plus if the worker has to do heavy physical
work, it can worsen the health and stamina of the worker.
Method of Investigation

The method of this report is to use primary

data in the form of a questionnaire for students
who do practical work at the welding workshop
and after this conduct interviews when
respondents fill in the questionnaire.
Scope
The analysis is implemented in Shipbuilding Institute of
Polytechnic Surabaya Welding Workshop

The analysis is focused on Shipbuilding Institute of

Polythecnic Surabaya students who conduct welding
practicum

The analysis is only conducted at 1-4 pm

The analysis ignore other factors that have effect for

work productivity
