CHAPTER III

Research Design and Methodology

 The main goal of the study is to know the Financial
Management of Humanities and Social Sciences
students of Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School for us
to know the relationship of students in managing their
daily/weekly allowance. We will using the quantitative
method in order for us to achieve this financial study. In
this chapter the researchers wii be knowing the
experience of students how they manage their
allowance and how they can help by saving money. And
the data collection are presented in detail in order for
the researchers finish the study.
  
RESEARCH DESIGN
 This study the researchers use the survey approach for conducting
a research. They will use the descriptive survey as their objectives
design. The main purpose of the researchers was to determine how
senior high school students manage their allowance as they can.
And to gather more information on certain response for a particular
field of the study and to provide a correct information. It will use
to answer and identify problems that will happen in the present
situation. Also to discover how the respondents assessed and
manage their daily/weekly allowance and to find out how they
handle to still exist it. The descriptive method was supplemented
with documentary analysis of the students managing their
allowance from Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School in
Guinobatan Albay.
 The descriptive research defines involving at the
present problem or situation of the subject of the
study. The descriptive research use to gather
information in particular period and use to describe
the situation at the time of study and to discover the
reasons and causes of particular phenomena. A
correlation approach was use to relate the financial
management of Humanities and Social Sciences
students in Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School.
Measure is to determine the magnitude and direction
to ensure how variation can survey is the study that
have objectives to determine the status of variables. It
indicates what variable are related to each other in
target population.
 DATA GATHERING
 In this research gathering of necessary data and information
for the study that will be used as a survey questionnaire. This
questionnaire indicate the following important information
about management, budgeting flow of financial management
and the success that they earn. Data on the work
performance of the students in relation in their budgeting
techniques, financial performance and their personal
circumstances will gathered personally from the respondents
of the study. The survey questionnaire will distributed to
each selected students we will collected as soon as the
respondents finish answering the survey questionnaire.
 SOURCE OF DATA
INFORMATION
 The researchers gather the information and other
data’s at the Marcial O. Rañola Memorial
Schoolof Guinobatan Albay. This is the best way
for us to know the exact number of Humanities
and Social Sciences students for school year
2019-2020
 STATISTICALTREATMENT
 The responses made by Humanities and Social
Sciences students describing the finance and
managing their daily/weekly allowance will be
presented in this study.
 RESPONDENTS AND
SAMPLING PROCEDURE
 The researchers choose the Humanities and
Social Sciences students of Marcial O. Rañola
Memorial School as the respondents of our study.
It was easy to the researchers because the
population of Humanities and Social Sciences
students are small population only compared to
other stands. The only needed is effort to
convince them to answer our survey
questionnaires.
 The Humanities and Social Sciences students of
Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School had total
population of 178 male and female students. It was
small,Thus the sampling method was applied to
come up withan acceptable number of sample.The
researchers used the slovi’s formula (N/1+Ne) with a
desired margin of error 0.05. The researchers arrived
at the sample size of 44 to choose the final samples
simple random sampling was applied to give an
element a chance to be included in the sample.
