Objectives

The purpose of this study to find the followings:

i. Where are they losing the most money

ii. Where are they most profitable
iii. Should they add a Chicago to Atlanta route in order to increase
profits
I. Where are they losing the most money

The analysis of this section was done on the following:

1. The revenue by flight route.

2. fuel costs per miles based on aircraft type.
3. flights with the lowest total revenue.

According to the graphs in the next slide:

• The lowest revenue by route is SLC (0.41% from the total revenue)
with a total number of flights 36.
• While the highest revenue by route is LAX (9.63% from the total
revenue ) with the total number of flights 699.

• The highest aircraft fuel cost per mile is 373.26$ for B737
according to the graph below.
3. flights with the lowest total revenue.

• According to the analysis done the flight by revenue the lowest

flights as shown in the below graph.

The analysis of this section was done on the following:

1. Revenue by flight route.

2. Flights with the highest total revenue.

• The highest revenue by route is LAX (9.63% from the total

revenue ) with the total number of flights 699 as shown in figure
below.

• According to scenario analysis that was done on Atlanta - Chicago

it shows that the profit will increase 2.0% from (2015 - 2020) as
shown in the next slide.

 The answer is yes they should add this route
