ABSTRACT:
 With the fast-paced world and the progression of the modern
technology, the emergence of IoT has been playing a vital role in
each and every sector of our daily lives.
 In the field of home automation and security, it has played a vital
and pivot role.
 It has made our lifestyle easier with the smart features inherited
in the automation.
 The implementation and design of wireless home automation
control using Wi-Fi technology handles the devices with integral
security and protected system.
 This paper gives a detailed hand on IOT and how it can be
implemented in security and automation using a micro-controller-
based NodeMcu (Esp8266) and an android mobile application.
INTRODUCTION:
 When it comes to a crucial issue of home security the first
thing comes up in ones mind is the sound of the alarm.
 Initially, in a scenario where the user is not present in the
home will not receive any information about their home
security.
 The unique android based application surely has a smarter
way of informing the user about a burglar or fire breakout.
 The smart sensors will send an immediate alert to the
database (Firebase), it later sends a quick notification to the
user through our designed android application.
LITERATURE SURVEY:
 Sharmin Aktar, Rehana Afroz Sima, Md. Sohid Ullah, Syed Akhter
Hossain, “Smart Security Serveillance using IoT”, IEEE- 2018.
In this work, with the help of sensor and camera, the system detects
motion in front of the door and capture picture which is sent to the
user’s cell phone along with the picture in the email inbox and a
detection message.
 B. Lakshmi Prathyusha, J. Anusha, D. Sai Lalitha, D. Venkata
Krishna, “Home Security System Based on GSM and Voice
Module”, IRJET- 2018.
The main aim of this work is to present an embedded system that
prevents or lessen the chances of intrusion, gas leakage and fire
accidents. When the system detects is there any intruder is present
or any gas leakage occurs or any fire accident takes place, then it
alerts the owner through a call using GSM technology and Voice
Module.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
1. PIR SENSOR:
 PIR means Passive Infrared Sensor.
 It detects the passive heat radiation radiated by any object.
 When there is any movement of any subject like an animal or
a human being passes the sensing area.
2. FLAME SENSOR:
 These sensors are only applicable for fire detection in
short range.
 It is basically an IR sensor and is highly sensitive to IR
wavelength between 760 nm - 1100 nm light.
 It can give both analog and digital output and the device
is accurate in a range of 3 feet.
3. NODEMCU(ESP8266):
 NodeMcu is usually used for prototyping purposes.
 It connects to the Internet through WIFI hotspot and can be
programmed easily.
 These devices can be used to gather vital data from the sensors
and these data can be recorded in the database.
 Once the sensors and electrical are connected to the NodeMcu,
they can be used to send or receive data to or from the Firebase
Database.
4. FIREBASE:
 Firebase is a Google product and gives us many services, like
Firebase Database, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Functions,
Firebase Storage, etc.
 We can receive alerts for various events, like burglar alert, fire
alerts, etc..
 The code can be written in either JavaScript or in TypeScript.
RESULTS:

notification
ADVANTAGES:

1. Protect and secure home.

2. Notifies fire or gas issues.
3. Protect from odourless gas with the system.
4. Useful for medical assistance.
5. Protection when out of town.
CONCLUSION:
 It focuses on the wireless transmission of data from
NodeMcu to Firebase and then to the Android application of
the authenticated user.
 Several added features are present in this system other than
security.
 Since the notification is sent through Firebase Functions no
extra hardware like GSM module is needed thus minimizing
the cost of production.
