 BIOGRAPHY
 Was an Italian composer, string player and choirmaster born the 15th of march 
1567 in Cremona (Milan). He was baptised in the church of SS Nazaro e Celso
that is in Cremona, the 15th of May, 1567. He studied at Cremona University. It
was one of the most importants figures between the Renaissance and the
Baroque music. His first musical drama was "Orfeo", which was debuted in
1607. 
 MUSIC STYLE
 Claudio Monteverdi was a late Renaissance and
early Baroque Italian composer.
 He basically invented the opera

SPIRITUALE
It was published in 1640 and 1641 in Venice. It was created in
Italian. It is a sacred music. He composed it two years before his
death when he was in the chapel of the Cathedral of San Marcos.

 L'ORFEO
It was one of the most important works and it's real title
was  La favola d'Orfeo. It was composed for the carnavals
of Mantua. It was premiered at degl'Invaghiti Academy,
in Mantua, in 1607. Then was premiered in the Mantua
court theater the 24th of February of the same year.
 OPÉRA L'ARIANNA
Opéra L'Arianna also called "Lamento d'Arianna" is the second opera of
this composer. It was composed between 1607 and 1608, in the Baroque
period. It was created in Italian and it was premiere the 28th of May, 1608

This film is an adaptation of the Opera L'Orfeo created by Claudio
Monteverdi.
It was created in 1985 and written in 1607.
The director was called Claude Goretta.
It is based on the Greek Legend of Orpheus.
