The problems statement observed from previous study are :

• Manual inspection has limitation in detect void for x-ray

image.

• The existing method such as micro-voids and automated

voids detection produce some vias that affect the quality
of product.

• The manual inspection by operator is time consuming

especially when it involves lots of samples.

  To apply the best enhancement operation to
increase level of contrast of x-ray images.

OBJECTIVES  To apply the best noise filtering technique to

remove existing noise on the x-ray images.
 To apply the best segmentation method to
segment the voids on the x-ray images.

PROJECT SCOPE
The scopes of this study are the Phyton software will be using as programming
language and this study will be using 8-bits of grayscale image as input of image
acquisition stage that provide by ViTrox company.

 Due to the current situation (MCO),
internet coverage at my hometown is very
weak. Besides that, I left all my reference
books and senior’s thesis at USM.

PROBLEMS I am unable to do research using internet

browsers due to weak of internet
FACED coverage.

I had told my fyp supervisor Prof. Ahsidi

and project chairman Dr. Rosmawati
regarding this issue and they came out
with solution that school will give me a
permission to allow me back to USM on
8th of June to continue my fyp research.
