Course Title

The descriptive title of this course is Ethics


Course Description

The course deals with principles of ethical


behaviour in modern society at the level of the
person, society, and in interaction with
environment and other shared resources. Morality
pertains to the standards of right and wrong that an
individual originally picks up from the community.
The course discusses the context and
principles of ethical behaviour in modern society
at the level of individual, society, and in the
interaction with the environment and other share
resources.
Course Objectives

The course teaches the students to make moral


decisions by using dominant moral frameworks
and by applying a seven-step moral reasoning
model to analyze and solve moral dilemma.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the student should be


able to:

 Differentiate between moral and non-moral


problems.
 Describe what a moral experience is as it
happens in different levels of human existence.

 Explain the influence of Filipino Culture on the


way students look at moral experience and solve
moral dilemmas.
 Describe the elements of moral development
and moral experience.

 Use ethical frameworks or principles to analyze


moral experience.
 Make sound ethical judgment based on
principles, facts, and stakeholders affected.

 Develop sensitivity to the common good.


 Understand and internalize the principles of
ethicl behavior in modern society at the level of
the person, society, and in interaction with the
environment and shared resources.

 Articulate and discuss the latest development in


the specific field of practice.

 Apply knowledge of contemporary issues and


principles of ethics relevant to the professional
practice.
 Communicate effectively in oral and written
English.

 Recognize the need for, and prepare to engage in


lifelong learning.

 Use the techniwues, skills, and modern


technology necessary for the practice of the
profession.
Grading System

Grades can be computed using the formula as


follows:

Prelim Grade: 0.50 CS + 0.50 PE


Midterm Grade: 1/3 PG + 2/3 (0.50 CSM +
0.50 ME
Final Grade: 1/3 MG + 2/3 (0.50 CSF +
0.50 FE
