-:ABOUT THE COMPANY:-

Zomato is an Indian restaurant aggregator and food


delivery start up founded by Deepinder Goyal and
Pankaj Chaddah in 2008. Zomato provides
information, menus and user-reviews of restaurants,
and also has food delivery options from partner
restaurants in select cities. Zomato is also entering into
grocery delivery amid the Covid-19 outbreak. As of
2019, the service is available in 24 countries and in
more than 10,000 cities.
• ZOMATO was founded as foodiebay in 2008 and
renamed zomato in 2010. In 2011 Zomato
expanded to Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore,
Chennai, Pune and Kolkata. In 2012 it expanded its
business internationally to several countries
including the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka,
Qatar, the United Kingdom, the Philippines
and South Africa. In 2013, Zomato was
launched in New Zealand, Turkey, Brazil, and
Indonesia, with its website and apps available in
Turkish, Brazilian, Portuguese, Indonesian and
English languages. In April 2014, Zomato
launched its services in Portugal, followed by
launches in Canada, Lebanon, and Ireland.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:-

Company conducts recruitment process every


year to select new candidates. The selection
process of the company consists of 3 rounds.
These rounds are as follows:
• Written Exam.
• Technical Interview.
• HR Interview .
Selection Test:-
• Zomato’s test Pattern for post of any entry-level
manager is as the following:
• Testing Areas: Aptitude Test
• No. Sections: 4
• Time: 45 Minutes.
• Overall the level of the paper is easy to moderate.
Only those candidates who clear the written exam
will qualify for the next round.
*The Company reserves the right to make
changes in the written exam.

Eligibility Criteria:-
• Academic Criteria:
• Candidate must be a graduate.
• 65 percent throughout (Class X, XII and
Graduation).
• Flexible to work in shifts (must be ready to work in
day or night shifts)
• Should have excellent verbal communication skills
• Should have a good hold basic mathematics and
must be good in calculation.

• HSC Diploma Market
• Graduation and Post Graduation all years mark
sheets
• Photo ID Proof (Pan Card + Passport + Driving
License + Any College ID if available)
• 6 Passport size photographs
• Resume and its 3 photocopies
-:Strategies to Retain Employees:-
• Challenge the team : Giving the team challenges like getting more
and more followers on the apps like instagram, facebook, twitter,
etc. also getting maximum downloads on the application from
Google Play and getting more and more Gold Subscripctions for
the company.
• Discourage hierarchies: The employees can directly talk to the
upper level manager without hesitation and are free to discuss their
issues with them.
• Empower people: This means making people important in the

hierarchies as it allows the employees to directly come to the upper
level officials and discuss their problems and give suggestions to
them regarding to what can be better in the office.

PROS:-
• The working environment is quite enjoyable.
• The salary structure is quite good.
• The pressure of working is less.
• You get to make your own strategy.
• The fellow colleagues were very helpful and friendly.
• Easy way to grow your personality and have richer experience of the
corporate environment.
Cons:-
• Lot of negative promotions in the market.
• Cab Facility is not available.
• Working hours are a bit uneven, and people have to work on weekends, and
even on public holidays.
• Employees are moved around in different teams without prior knowledge.
• Needs more structuring within the organization.
• Involves a lot of field work.

Employees of Zomato are expected to adhere to and uphold the highest standard of
ethics and integrity. This includes acting in accordance with our core values and the below
listed policies at all times.
Zomato employees are prohibited from using their employee status to solicit discounts,
freebies, or special treatment at restaurants. Unless visiting a restaurant for official business,
Zomato employees are to refrain from identifying themselves as employees of Zomato.
All Zomato employees in client facing roles including but not limited to Sales, Sales
Support, Neutrality, Media Content and Client Servicing across all transaction/
business/function at Zomato are prohibited from writing reviews and/or giving ratings for
dine out experiences on Zomato from either their personal or Zomato accounts. They are
also not permitted to influence others to write biased reviews or give ratings. Zomato's
review and photo moderators are required to always act in favor of keeping Zomato a
neutral platform. They are required to use their best judgement in implementing moderation
guidelines and are prohibited from giving preferential treatment to restaurants. Deleting any
authentic review from a restaurant page is in violation of our policies. Similarly, keeping
reviews, which are proven to be unauthentic, is in violation of our policies
