doing/investing in present.

everything behind.

reducing gap between desires and basic necessities of life.

lifetime.

knowledge, can ‘Achieve Peace’ quickly.

4. one who is dedicated to the spiritual knowledge & subdues

one’s senses, can ‘Achieve Peace’ quickly.

5. It reiterates `
“Man without Peace is always unhappy”
‘WHY STUDY & FOLLOW GEETA AT ALL’?
There are a number of basic reasons for reading & adopting
Geeta in our life and for this, there are number of
commandments enumerated in Holy Geeta & few of them
are:
1) It is not a religious scriptures, instead it advocates ‘Art of living’ and
tells us the ‘Way of Life’.

2) It is only scriptures, which gives us scientific reason/explanation of

every problem.

3) It is only the scriptures, which recommends, not to go to jungles to

attain peace.

4) It is the Holy Geeta, which does not bar us to enjoy the worldly
pleasures and from earning money.
5) The main theme of Holy Geeta is very clear

“Neither forget the Lord nor the World”

6) It provides us a complete and practical knowledge for improving
one’s behavior and personality.

7) ‘Holy Geeta’ is like a ‘Light House’ in this hour of darkness.

8) It talks about the vastness of God without whom, the entire

working of universe would come to stand still.

9) It mandates that God is omnipresent and to submit to & be with

him, only then we can achieve real peace.

10) He is our permanent companion & is always with us.

11) It further lays down that he resides in all of us & is always there to
guard us against wrong actions.
Let us analyze the reasons behind the absence of
‘Peace of Mind’. For this we have to understand
the anatomy of our body first & through which we
can achieve peace.

Three vital parts of the Body

As per ‘Holy Geeta’

Human Body has three vital parts & they are:

1. Physical Body
2. Mind
3. Intellect
1. Physical Body ----- ‘Ten Senses’ to carry out inside & outside
activities:

A) Five Senses of Perception:

i) Eyes ---- to see worldly objects.
ii) Ears ---- to hear
iii) Nose ---- to smell
iv) Tongue ---- to distinguish the tastes of different items.
v) Skin ---- to feel different items like heat, cold etc.

B) Five Senses of Action:

i) Hands ---- help in performing actions like collecting, holding etc.
ii) Feet ---- help us in walking.
iii) Speech ----- for communication with others.
iv) Anus ----- for discharging the waste.
v) Genital ----- for reproduction.
2. Mind
 most important constituent of the body which helps us to
make our life and to achieve Peace or Disaster
 according to ‘Geeta’ ---- mind is the most turbulent,
powerful & which does not yield easily

Greatest enemy if it is uncontrolled while it is Greatest

friend & helper if controlled though intellect.

3. Intellect
 greatest gift by lord to human beings only
 provides them with the ‘Power of Discrimination’, helps to
choose between ‘right’ or ‘wrong’
 knowledge ( ) can be achieved through the reading of
our holy scriptures like Vedas & Geeta
Causes & Reasons behind the eclipses of the Intellect

This is the most important aspect in understanding the sequential process

happening within us & which is destroying the ‘Peace of Mind’. On the basis of
Holy Geeta it is elaborated stepwise as below:
i. We see an object through eyes & we start.
ii. Thinking about it & if we like it then we develop attachment for the same.
iii. Attachment then, results in lust for the same & to grab the same at all cost.
iv. Now if we don’t get we develop ‘Anger’.
v. Anger then results in delusion.
vi. Delusion results in ‘Loss of Memory’.
vii. Loss of memory then, results in blurring & then eclipsing our intellect.
viii. Loss of intellect results in loosing power of discrimination i.e., to choose
between Right & Wrong.
ix. The loss of Intellect then results in dooming of man.

“The basic reason behind the uncontrolled mind is our

unending desires”.
Solution :
1. mind is ever restless & very difficult to control but it is
possible by practice, renunciation and detachment

2. try to show the mind ---- the fear of death(the real

meaning of life)

3. direct yourself to Satsang.

4. divert the mind to Lord’s worship.

5. Body ( )& Mind ( ) by reversing as Bowing ( )&

Leaving your Ego ( )
Conclusion
 Peace is an internal matter.

 not sellable item, but has to be won within yourself.

 basic cause of unhappiness ----- nonfulfilment of desires.

 desires multiply, on seeing the outside attractions.

 there is no end of desires.

 the seat of ever-generating desires is our mind, which is always

demanding more & more like a child playing with one toy& then
throwing the same and looking for a new one.

 mind can be tamed only by our intellect --- having proper knowledge.
 knowledge can be acquired ---- reading holy scriptures & other
religious books/listening to saint’s lectures.

 basic necessities of life– food, cloth & shelter, one must have the
same.

 for basic necessities one has to earn money but not to be mad after
money.

 keep the gap between desires and basic necessities. Desires &
Jealousy

 never feel jealous of others

 God can meet our basic necessities, not desires.

 mind is always wandering but can be controlled by regular practice.
