DEFINITIVE

Preventive maintenance is maintenance and maintenance


activities carried out to prevent the occurrence of unexpected
and discovered damages that cause damage during
production. Thus, all production facilities that receive
maintenance (preventive maintenance) will be guaranteed
continuity and always be sought in conditions or conditions
that are ready to be used for every operation or production
process at any time.

TYPE OF PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

• Routine maintenance. Maintenance activities carried out

several minutes before being used operating throughout the
day.
• Periodic maintenance. Maintenance activities carried out
periodically or within a certain period.
PURPOSES
• Extend the productive life of an asset by detecting that an asset has a
critical wear point and may suffer damage.
• Carry out inspections effectively and keep the equipment in good health.
• Eliminating damage to equipment and defects in production and
increasing machine durability and process capability
• Reducing time wasted equipment damage by creating equipment
maintenance activities
• Keep production costs to a minimum.
PROCESS
• Record and manage data about maintenance, failure and use of
equipment (basic equipment analysis)
• All types of predictive activities. Including inspection, measuring,
inspection of parts for quality, analysis of lubricants, temperature,
vibration, noise, recording all data from predictive activities for trend
analysis
• Minor improvements (30 minutes), a big push towards productivity
• Writing up any conditions that require special attention, which has the
potential to lead to failure
• Scheduling and implementing the instructed repairs
• Use the frequency and severity of failures to increase the PM task list
• Training and upgrading of PM system capabilities.
