NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) Consists of the cloud OS and infrastructure. The NFVI provides the infrastructure and virtual resources for service apps. Infrastructure can be Huawei hardware or from a third party (such as HP). Traditional services can then run on the VMs. ◦ Devices are combined, using the IT scale economy. Device costs and power consumption are reduced. ◦ The service innovation period and time to market are shortened. This boosts the network maturity for carriers Huawei CloudEdge Is a new-generation Mobile Broadband (MBB) solution developed based on NFV, Service- Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Cloudified Architecture. In addition to traditional Packet Core Network (PCN) functions, the solution provides adjustable capacity configurations for NEs through NE Function Virtualization (NFV) and the sharing of standard hardware resources among NEs.
CloudUSN It functions as an integrated SGSN/MME. The serving GPRS support node (SGSN) is responsible for the access from the GSM/EDGE radio access network (GERAN) and UMTS terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN). The mobility management entity (MME) is responsible for the access from the evolved UMTS terrestrial radio access network (E- UTRAN). CloudUGW It can function as a GGSN, SGW, or PGW to meet carriers' diverse networking requirements in different phases and scenarios. CloudUGW (CGW&DGW) It supports the Control and User Plane Separation (CUPS) architecture this function allows the completely split of the control plane and user plane. It becomes in: ◦ CGW (Centralized Gateway): It provides unified signaling interfaces, simplifying network deployment. It contains the SGW-C and PGW-C logical functions. ◦ DGW (Distributed Gateway): It deploys at the regional network or even lower to shorten the service access path and improve service experience. DGW contains the SGW-U and PGW-U logical functions. CloudUPCC It allows flexible policy control for fixed, mobile, and IMS services. The functions of the UPCC include policy, service, subscription, quota, and bearer resource management as well as admission control. ◦ Integrating with the SPR function to support data storage, access, and management ◦ Supporting the RESTful Rx interface to interwork with third-party application servers (ASs) CloudDB Is used to manage and converge subscription data. It manages mobility, authentication, and subscription data for subscribers requesting to access various networks. The CloudDB can serve as the following functional entities: ◦ HLR on GSM and UMTS networks ◦ EIR on the GSM, UMTS, and EPS networks ◦ HSS on EPS networks ◦ HSS, ENUM server, and DNS on IMS networks ◦ HLR and HSS on VoLTE and VoWiFi networks CloudCG Charging Gateway is designed based on Huawei CloudEdge solution. It is located between the Upstream Network Elements (NEs) and Billing System (BS), and implements offline charging. It receives, stores, and converts CDRs from the Upstream NEs, generates final CDRs that can be processed by the BS, and sends these CDRs to the BS. Attach Procedure rize Aut ho / nti cate he Aut
