System formwork for

in-situ concrete
construction

• Group 4 – Growers
• Supervisor : Lars Hyldedal

1
Basement
plan
Structure dimensions:
• Strip foundations - 0.6m x 0.6 m
• Pad foundations - 2 rows 1.3 x 1.3 x 0.6 m, in total 34 units
• Columns - 0.4 x 0.4 x 3.0 m
• Basement wall 0.3 m – width and 3.0 m – height over strip
foundation
• Reinforced slab - 250 mm thick with drop beam 500 mm

2
Assumptions

• Concrete delivery - 12m3/h.

• Concrete curing time
 Foundations, columns and walls – 2 days.
 Slab + beam construction – 3 days.

• Assembling and disassembling time for

different types of formworks.
• Transverse walls and columns are adjusted to
fit the drop beam. Column height is reduced to
2.5 meters and walls have two holes of 500 mm
3
Workers
Two teams of four workers each, who have experience working with
Doka system formworks.

4
Foundations
(framed formwork Framax
Xlife)

• Framax Xlife panels can be

used for strip and pad
foundations.
• Advantageous because we
intend to continue forming
(for example: the walls)
using the same panels.
• Foundations can quickly be
formed with any of the
panels, placed either
vertical or horizontal.

5
Walls
(framed formwork Framax
Xlife)

Framax Xlife is chosen because

of the:
• 135 width.
• Panels of 330 cm height.
• High number of re-use
cycles of formskin.

6
Slab
(Dokaflex 30 tec)

a = 1180 mm
b = 2580 mm
c = 625 mm

• Fewer floor props for big

constructions, because they can be
extended.
• Allows easy forming of drop beams.
• 80% more load bearing capacity
compared to other slab formworks.
