Wave forms
 Display of the wave forms of the voltages
and currents: qualitative view of signal
distortion for voltage or current, or per
phase.
 Comparison of amplitudes and display of
phase shifts between the fundamentals of
each phase, as well as between the
currents and voltages.
 Text summary of the min, max and
average parameters measured

 Verification of correct phase connection by

vectorial display
 Calculation of the shift angles between
phases and of the absolute value
 Unbalance measurement
Power / Energy modes

 Display of the power values and

associated factors (power factor,
displacement power factor and
tangent)

 Possibility of integrating this power

value for energy metering.

 Pictograms distinguishing between

energy consumed and energy
produced.
Harmonics mode
 Bargraph display of the harmonic distortion
levels of the voltages, currents and powers,
order by order up to the 50th order.

 Display of the THD in %, the RMS value and

the phase shift of each harmonic.

 The bars representing the harmonics are

signed. As the QualistarPlus is the receiver,
the positive harmonics are received and the
negative harmonics are transmitted
(pictogram).

 The expert mode allows distinction between

the harmonics inducing a negative, null
(addition in neutral) or positive sequence. It is
then possible to analyse the influence of the
harmonics on heating of the neutral or on
rotating machinery.
Simultaneous monitoring

Stream recording of the parameters

over very long periods(overvoltages,
drops and interruptions, etc.).

Triggering and capture of events

Monitoring of parameters which do not comply with
predefined characteristics.

Capture of very brief voltage and

current events
Recording mode

 Curve or bargraph display of the various

parameters recorded, as well as the min
and max values as a function of time.
 Verification of mains voltage stability.
 Monitoring of all the parameters over
time.
 Calculation of the energies consumed
and output
 Capacity (example): all the parameters
at one-second intervals for nearly one
month
Alarms mode

 Listing of the 10,000 alarms

recorded according to the
thresholds programmed in the
configuration
 Recording of power cuts from one
half-period to several hours
 Determination of energy
consumption overruns
 Detection of voltage variations on
the network
Transient mode

 Display of wave forms captured

after a transient.
 At 50 Hz, capture of transients
lasting less than 80 µs.
 Display of rapid variations
(interruptions, etc.)

C.A 8335: 210 screens

Inrush current mode
 Analysis of motor start-up: recording
of the curve over a period of more
than one minute at 50 Hz, with start-
up duration and peak values
 Display of the curve in envelope mode
(PEAK)
 Display of each half-period in RMS
mode
 Possibility of multiple zooms until
each period is displayed
Configuration

 A simple set-up screen, without

nested sub-menus, allows you to
set your instrument's
parameters as required:
 Adjustment of the screen
 Choice of colours for the traces
 Calculation mode for certain
parameters
 Type of electrical installation
 …
Screenshots

 A special key allows users to

save specific screens on the
analyser so that they can recall
and view them later on.

 The screenshot comprises a

.BMP file of the image and the
data for the curves.

C.A 8332B: 8 screens

C.A 8334B: 12 screens
C.A 8335: 50 screens
