Production – 42 cu.m./hr x 45 min/60 min = 31.5
cu.m./hr
Rental Rate – P 575/hr
Mobilization/Demobilization – P 8,000
Equipment time = 1,200 cu.m./31.5 cu.m./hr = 38

Equipment Cost = 38 hrs x P 575 + P 8,000
= P 29,850
Trial 2: Given Data:
Equipment – Flywheel Horsepower: 89 hp, Track-
type
Production – 63 cu.m./hr x 45 min/60 min
= 47.25 cu.m./hr
Rental Rate – P 750/hr
Mobilization/Demobilization – P 8,000
Equipment time = 1,200 cu.m./47.25 cu.m./hr
= 25.39 hrs say 26 hrs
Equipment Cost = 26 hrs x P 750 + P 8,000
= P 27,500

The 2nd equipment fwhp = 89hp entails a lesser cost

of operation. Therefore, it could be the better
choice.
