Introduction to private sectors
• Private sector includes all different types of individual or
corporate enterprises or banks, both domestic and foreign,
engaged in different fields of productive activity. Private sector
enterprises are owned and managed by the private sector. These
private sector enterprises are mostly characterized by certain
common characteristics like private initiative, profit motive and
ownership and management in private hands.
Attrition
• A reduction in the number of employees through retirement, resignation or
death is called Attrition. Attrition is also called total turnover rate.
• Kinds of Attrition
Voluntary attrition- Voluntary attrition takes place when the employee
leaves the organization by their own will. Pull factors like higher
emoluments elsewhere, better opportunities of growth and promotion etc
are responsible for this kind of attrition.
Natural attrition- It takes place due to the causes and factors that are
beyond the control of the individual and organization as well. These factors
may include end of life, insanity etc.
Causes of Attrition
Internal causes
Insufficeint salary , delay in payments
Biased promotion, delayed promotion
forceful transfer
Lack of Job Security
External causes
better pay
chances of promotion
better perks and
more fringe benefits in other organizations

Objectives of the study
The main objectives of the study are:
1.To identify the major problems faced by employees in the
organization which lead to attrition.
2.To find out the various reasons behind employee attrition.
3.To protect the interest of employees in the organization.
4.To ensure the coordination between employees and organization.
Research Methodology
Research Design
The current research on employee satisfaction and quality of work life in
private sector companies is a descriptive research study.
Sample Design
A sample design is a defined plan for obtaining a sample from a given
population.
Sampling Technique
Sampling technique is the technique that is used to draw sample out of the
population. In current research, Convenience Sampling Techniques has
been used.
Sample Size In current research, 100 respondents are covered.
