Planning
‐ is the formal process of making
decisions for the future of the
individuals and organizations. Plans
are statement of things to be done
and the sequence and timing in
which they should be done in order
to achieve a given end.

- It is a program of development, new
achievements, instructional work, co-
curricular activities, etc., prepared by an
educational institution on the basis of its felt
needs and the resources available with a
view to bringing improvement in the school
and its practices.

1. It had been a centralized affair,

3. It had been purely expenditure-oriented and not
task-oriented or result-oriented.
