INTRODUCTION
• Wind energy is one of the leading power sources from natural
resources
• India holds the fourth position in the utilization of wind energy
• Conventional windmills have their own limitations in installation and
maintenance
• Bladeless Turbines makes use of the theory of vorticity
• Bladeless turbines can generate electricity more efficiently and bring
about 40% cost reduction in power generation

COMPONENT OF BLADELESS WINDMILL
• Mast
• Connecting Rod
• Piezo-electric Generator

Fig no. 1

WORKING PRINCIPLE

• Theory of vorticty
• This vortex exerts a force on the cylinder, causing it to vibrate
• The oscillatory motion of the cylindrical structure is converted to
electricity by making use of piezo-electric generators
• Generate electricity more efficiently
• Bring about 40% cost reduction in power generation

10/03/2020 4
ADVANTAGES
• Installation cost and maintanance cost low combared to blade wind
mill
• No lubrication needed,noise less,environmental friendly
• Cost energy production is 40% less that of conventional wind mill
• It occupy less area
• It will not kill the birds

10/03/2020 5
DISADVANTAGES
• Efficiency is less than that of conventional wind mill
• The requirement if control system for controlling the oscillation

10/03/2020 6
APPLICATION
• They are used in farm
• Used in near to baeches
• In deserts
• Fixed at top of the houes

CONCLUSION
• Wind energy harnessing being cheaper than solar or other forms of
energy
• Bladeless technologies offer better advantages in installation, working
and maintenance
• Since they consume lesser space for installation, more power output can
be generated from a given area
• They are portable, efficient and can be installed within small area
• Produce energy at a rate 40% cheaper when equated with conventional
windmills
