OBJECTIVE

 To identify the different types of leave;

 To discuss the consequences of AWOL;

 To apply the proper procedure on the


issuance of AWOL Orders to PNP
personnel;
OBJECTIVE

 To evaluate the proper offense


committed by the PNP personnel.

 To facilitate the immediate resolution of


AWOL cases;
AWOL – is a status of any official or
employee who:

 absents himself from work without


approved leave of absence.

 Fails to give notice to his immediate


superior officer the fact of his inability to
report for work on account of sickness or
injury
 Fails to file appropriate application for
sick leave after his return for work
within 24 hours;

 Fails to report to his new


assignment/unit within ten (10) days
from receipt of the order of
reassignment. (NMC No. 2016-002)

AWOL Orders

 The Chief, PNP

GUIDELINES ON AWOL
 All AWOL Orders shall be issued
effective from the time the PNP
personnel was marked absent by his
Unit/office.

 All PNP Personnel who are on AWOL


status shall not receive his/her salary,
pay, and allowances for the principle of
“No Work No pay.”
 All AWOL personnel shall be returned to
active duty effective from the time he actually
reported for duty.

 Those DFR Personnel whose Motion for


Reconsideration was approved by the non-
disciplinary authority, the effectivity date of his
restoration order shall be on the date of the
approval of MR.
 All DFR personnel who failed to file their MR
within the reglementary period shall be
denied.

 A copy the resolution shall be forwarded to


the appellant upon the denial of his/her MR
or Appeal.
Every case of absence without
official leave (AWOL) committed
by any PNP personnel shall be
the direct responsibility of the
immediate superior officer.
Failure and/or refusal to initiate either
disciplinary or non-disciplinary action
against the erring personnel shall
render him administratively liable
under the doctrine of command
responsibility.
 All administrative cases for AWOL should
be resolved within 90 days

 30 days of continuing AWOL shall be


transferred to PHAU.
 No DFR shall be issued until the
completion of the SHP.

 DFR can be issued at the option of the


RD; D, NSUs; and CPNP (2017 RACS).
