and stages of infection for prevention?

TASK 1: GERMS NOW HAVE WANDERED
Hello! Let’s do some activities that will help you
discover the importance of protecting yourself from the
different treats to your health. As you do these activities,
you will acquire concepts that will help you explain the
different elements of the chain of infection. I will group
you into male and female groups. The male group will
form a circle likewise with the female groups.
Select a leader who will hold the colored ball.The
leader will sing the song (germs have wondered) first
to be followed by the groups while the ball is being
passed around.
Keep singing until all of you held the ball or
have paint on your hands. Try to analyze the lyrics/
wording of the song.

Figure 1 will be flashed on the board. The teacher will guide
the students as they fill out each space with appropriate
descriptions.

Read the situations at the middle column. Afterwards, decide if the actions provided on the

TASK 6: PICK N’ SHARE
Form six groups. Each group will be given a
manila paper and pentel pen. Each group shall form a
circle and will be assigned an initial question to answer
for two minutes. After answering the first question,
rotation follows. Pass your question clockwise to the
next group and wait for the next question to be passed
to your group. Passing and receiving of questions shall
be done every two minutes. All answers shall be
written in the manila paper with description.
TASK 7: PUT ME IN!
In your paper, put the different chain of infections in the box
based on the story below. Remember that the elements in the chain are
sequentially arranged.

Peter joined the school fun run at Pagsanahan National High


School; his desires is to win so he didn’t mind if he was stepping on
water wherein his feet got soaked. Even if this made him uncomfortable
because his feet were very itchy, he didn’t do anything but removed his
socks that evening.
He hanged his pair of socks at the back of the
refrigerator to dry and immediately went to sleep because he
was so tired.

Early that morning, his brother John saw the dried pair of
socks and used it thinking that it was clean.
