To innovate traditional technique
 This project aims to develop an air flow heater
palay dryer to help the farmers along the rice field
areas in Capas, Tarlac
 Effectiveness of Palay Dryer in terms of:
 Drying Time
 Kilo
 Durability
 Cost and Effectiveness
The palay dryer has no significant effect in
drying palay grains.
 The use of this project is to give a alternative and
reliable air flow heater palay dryer that will help
the farmers in drying their rice grains.
 Farmers. To help farmers dry their wet palay when
it comes of the wet seasons to lessen their struggle.
 Families. The use of palay dryer is to help them
dry their rice grain stock when there’s no sunlight
 Community. It helps the residents to have palay
dryer support and to lessen the wet crops selling.
 Future researchers. To enhance more what is the
effect of this based on this study. It may serve as a
background study for them to help improve their
research.
The study will focus on developing a palay
dryer machine. The research sample is
composed of rice grain along the rice field
area of Capas, Tarlac.
This study is delimited to drying time per
kilos of rice grain in rice field area of Capas,
Tarlac.
 The difference of study to others is that we build a palay
dryer powered by electricity in drying rice grains with
heating element and mixer for keeping the quality of
grains. In addition, it can dry in any seasons to support
farmers can’t afford drying equipment.
Research Design
 This research used Correlational design study
Materials
 recycled metal and less aluminum scrap, heating
element convector, heat reject aluminum foam,
welding rod, screen mesh, motor, roller, bearings,
intake and exhaust fan.
The Instruments, Apparatus and Equipment
 The instruments, apparatuses and equipments
needed to make an Electrical Rice Dryer Convector
are multi-meter, thermometer, wire stripper,
soldering iron, welding machine, scissor, screws,
pliers, glue gun, ruler and cutter.
Procedure
First gather the material that needed
then assemble the project(Palay Dryer)
Data Gathering Procedure
The researchers will collect data through
observation and recordings. Also, the
researcher will carefully watch the grain
if it is not cooked and determine the time
and moisture level of rice grains every
trial that conducted.
 The Pearson Product-Moment correlation
coefficient will be used to interpret the data of the
Drying time or moisture content, kilos, durability
and the cost- effectiveness of Palay dryer
production that will be tested by a rice grain.
