Narrative text is a kind of story or event
narrated or retold in spoken or written of
which social function is to entertain the
readers. It may cover legends, fables,
and folklore.

The origin of city of Banyuwangi
Once upon a time, there was a local ruler named King
Sulahkromo thing. Prime Minister King has named Raden
Sidopekso. Prime Minister 's wife has named Sri Tanjung. She
is so beautiful and sweet that the king wanted her to be his
wife. One day, the King sent the Prime Minister for long
missions. While the Prime Minister went, the King tried to get
Sri Tanjung. But the king failed.
He was very angry and upset. So, when Sidopekso back,
the King told him that his wife was unfaithful to him. Prime
Minister is very angry with his wife. Sri Tanjung said that was
not true. However, Sidopekso said that he would kill her. She
took him to the river bank.
Before he killed him and threw him into the river, he said that
he will be proven innocent, Once Sidopekso kill him, he threw
his body into the river dirty. River soon became clean and start
spreading the wonderful aroma and very fragrant. Sidopekso
said, "... Banyu Wangi... Banyuwangi ". It means ' fragrant
water '. Banyuwangi proof of love born of noble and sacred.
That's the origin of the town of Banyuwangi.

Fantastic Holiday at Yogyakarta
Last week, I went to Yogyakarta with my family. My father drove the
car. My mother sat beside him. My sister and I sat in the back seats.
We woke up early in the morning. My father prepared the car in the
garage while mother was preparing food for breakfast and some snacks for
us. My sister and I packed some clothes. After everything got ready and we
had our breakfast, we left the house at six o'clock.
It was about nine A.M. We arrived at Yogyakarta. First of all we visited
our uncle. We stayed there for an hour. Then we went to Parangtritis beach.
We got there at eleven o'clock. There were a lot of tourists because it was
holiday. I saw many foreign visitors too. My parents watched us playing with
sand in the beach. We did not swim and take a bath since the wave was
rough. After having lunch, we went on our picnic to the museum and
Malioboro shopping centre.
We drove back to Semarang at 7 o'clock and arrived home at ten. We
were tired but happy.

Nasi goreng, "fried rice" is a familiar food from Indonesia; if you want to
know how to prepare nasi goreng this is the procedure how to make nasi
goreng. Just follow this explanation:

• Ingredients:
350 gr. Long Grain Rice
2 Tbs. Vegetable Oil
3 Eggs
1 Onion
2 Green Chilies, Sambal Ulek or Sambal Badjak.

1 teaspoon Ground Cumin

• Steps:
This dish is best made from cold leftover rice, but you can cook a fresh
batch and leave it to cool for at least 4 hours. Beat the eggs and make into a
omelets, slice into strips and set aside. Heat the oil in a wok or large frying
pan. Add the chopped onion, leek, garlic and chilies. Fry until the onion is
soft. Add the Coriander and Cumin. Slice Chicken into strips and add with
the prawns to the onion mixture and cook, stirring occasionally until they are
well mixed. Add the rice, soya sauce and omelet strips and cook for a further
5 minutes. Decorate with some of the leftover leek and serve hot. Enjoy.

• Komodo Dragon
• Komodo dragon is the largest lizard. It lives in the scrub and
woodland of a few Indonesian islands. Komodo dragon is the world’s
heaviest lizard, weighing 150 pounds or more. The largest Komodo
ever measured was more than 10 feet (3 meters) long and weighed
366 pounds (166 kg) but the average size of komodo in the wild is
about 8 feet (2.5 meters) long and 200 pounds (91 kg).
• Komodo has gray scaly skin, a pointed snout, powerful limbs and a
muscular tail. They use their keen sense of smell to locate decaying
animal remains from several miles away. They also hunt other lizards
as well as large mammals and are sometimes cannibalistic. The
Komodo dragon’s teeth are almost completely covered by its gums.
When it feeds, the gums bleed, creating an ideal culture for virulent
bacteria. The bacteria that live in the Komodo dragon’s saliva causes
septicemia, or blood poisoning, in its victims. A dragon will bite its
prey, then follow it until the animal is too weak to carry on. This lizard
species is threatened by hunting, loss of prey species and habitat
