BE PROACTIVE

NOT REACTIVE
Proactive people make choices based on values. They
think before they act. They know that they can’t
control what happens to them in life, but they can
control their response to what happens to them.
Proactive people are like water. Shake them up all you
want, take the lid off, and nothing. No explosion.
They are cool, calm, and collected.

Reactive people make choices based on impulse. They

are like a can of soda pop. If life shakes them up, the
pressure builds and they explode.
Being proactive means thinking and acting ahead of
anticipated events.

To be proactive, you'll need to plan for potential

problems, solve problems instead of dwelling on them,
prioritize more effectively, and assess your current
method of tackling tasks to make improvements.

Not only is it a great method for avoiding more work

down the road, but it can be extremely important for
averting disasters.
