OPT-IN PORTAL FOR FALL 2019 OPENS: December 21,2019


Codes start being emailed out on Dec. 30th, 2019
OPT-IN PORTAL CLOSES: January 17, 2020
Participating in the Follett Access program (opting-in) will allow you to
access required materials at a discounted price, for a limited time.

https://includedcp.follett.com/OptIn/0208 You’ll be able to opt-in to required materials for your participating courses
until 1/17/2020 11:59PM For Spring 2020 courses.

Please follow If you’ve recently registered for an Follett Access course, please allow one
these steps to business day for the new course to appear as we receive updated data
from the Registrar’s Office.
Opt-In to your
If you drop a course, don’t worry, any charges associated with the
materials dropped course will be removed after the add/drop period.

Follow the link in your Introduction email.

to the right is a SAMPLE. Your email will
reference Florida State University.

Enter your FSU credentials (ex. student@my.fsu.edu) into
the Opt-In Bookstore Customer portal and select “Submit”
Your participating courses will be displayed along with the
associated materials charge
$160 for EVR1001 and EVR 1001L
*if you are taking BOTH- just opt in for one, if you happen to opt in for both no
worries, one of the fee’s will drop off your account.
Select the “Opt-
In” button next
to the materials
you would like to

You’ll see a window appear confirming
your opt-in choice, please review.

If your materials are code-based


(Connect, LaunchPad, Mastering,
MindTap or WileyPlus) you’ll receive
an email to your email address on file
with your access code. Please
register the code by following the
instructions provided by your
instructor.

If your materials are an etext, you’ll


receive an email from BryteWave with
an activation link. Follow the link and
the prompts to access your text.
After you’ve Opted-In, you’ll see the status of that course change to “Opted-
In” and the button will be greyed out.

You’ll need to opt-in to each course materials option individually if you’re


enrolled in more than on participating course.

What’s Next?
As noted previously, after you opt-in your materials will be emailed to you. Please
allow 1 business day for delivery.
◦ Follow direction provided by your instructor to register any access codes as this
process may be different from course to course.

◦ If you’ve opted-in to a RedShelf etext, you’ll receive an activation email with a


link. Follow the link and complete your registration to access your etext (it’s
recommended you register using your FSU student credentials).

◦ Contact your Bookstore on campus with any questions. 0208txt2@Follett.com


To Register into your Course once you have access code
Enter Your Canvas Course:
Step 1:Sign in to Canvas using your FSU ID and enter your course.
Step 2: Do one of the following:
 Select any Pearson link from any module.
 Select the MyLab & Mastering in the Course Navigation, and then select any course link on the
Pearson page.

Step 3: Get Access to Your Pearson Course Content:

Sign in with your Pearson account username and password to Link Accounts.
You have an account if you have ever used a Pearson MyLab & Mastering product, such as
MyMathLab, MyITLab, MyEconLab, MasteringBiology or MasteringEnvironmentalScience.
If you don’t have a Pearson account, select Create and follow the instructions.

Step 4: Enter your Access code

Step 5:Enter the access code that came in the email
it will come without hyphens and look like this: ABCDEFCANALPRIDESTONYMOULDLUCKY

*Reminder- 6 letters in 1st box and 5 in the following just as the example shows

Step 6. From the You’re Done page, select Go to My Courses.

Congratulations! You’re now enrolled in your MyLab
andMastering course.
Next time you want to access your, always go through your Canvas account.

However if Canvas should be down for any reason you can go to


www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com and Sign in. But you must have already registered on
the Canvas side 1st.

Once in the Mastering course – click on ‘Second Life
Virtual Field Trips’ in left nav bar
You’re completed Registration for the Pearson Portal- now you must complete
registration on the CNDG portion to access the virtual field trips
sign in using your Pearson username and password.

Click next to begin your Virtual Campus Registration.
DO NOT close down the registration window before your registration is fully completed!

Enter your information and click ‘Continue’

1) First name and last name


MUST match the FSU
roster
2) Email address MUST be
your FSU email
3) Your FSUID = your
Blackboard username –
e.g. abc16 or abc16d etc.
4) Your password MUST be
8-16 characters in length
and include at least one
number or symbol

Enter your chosen avatar username:
• Avatar username MUST BE UNIQUE – if your chosen name is not unique it will be
rejected and you will have to choose a different one
• Use only letters and numbers - special characters are NOT permitted
• Everyone in the environment will see your username – DO NOT USE ANY OFFENSIVE
LANGUAGE
• Username cannot be changed once profile is created

Create an Avatar
• Select an avatar by placing the one you want in the middle.
• Check the checkbox at the bottom.
• Click ‘Check Username’

Once your username has been approved click ‘Create Account’.

Please read this page carefully then click ‘Continue’ to activate
your avatar.

Complete the Second Life form to Activate your account, then click ‘Create
Account’
• Fill in ALL the fields.
• Make sure you select a strong password
• Password must be 8-16 characters in length and include at least one number
or symbol
• Make sure to check the bottom checkbox to accept the ‘Terms of Service and
Privacy Policy.
• Once the ‘Create Account’ button turns orange you may proceed

Once the account has been setup successfully you will get
the following notification and then will be redirected to your
my.cndg dashboard

Using the my.cndg dashboard
On the my.cndg dashboard you will be able to see your lab schedule
and select a lab timeslot.

Using the my.cndg dashboard
• Scroll to the bottom and watch the video.
• Download and install the required software.
• Once the installation is finished you can click ‘Launch the Virtual Campus’ to
start.

Congratulations!
You have now completed your Virtual Campus registration. If you
encounter any problems during the Virtual Campus registration please

3 Technical support info
If you are having issues registering for your PearsonMyLabandMastering course
through Canvas or its asking for a course ID- you do NOT need a course ID. Or
any other errors, browser settings usually fix 90% of issues.

First be sure your browser settings are enabled properly by following the
recommended settings HERE

If you are still having issues after checking your settings- Please click
the Contact Us link on the Pearson support site. Follow the prompts and you can
either live chat or be provided a phone # to call.

You may need to provide your Canvas diagnostics: here's how to provide that to
support.

If you still need additional help after contacting Pearson Support please input
your case # and info into this form and Pearson can further help escalate your
case.
