Top Node Pressure

Water Cut

Liquid Rate

Productivity Index
Base Case (Liquid Rate = 150 bbl/day)

Cases: Conclusion:
Liquid Rate =150 STB/day In this case with low fluid rate the temperature of the fluid drops
Top Node Pressure: 150 psi significantly below the pour point temperature of 33 deg C.

Liquid rate (STB/day)

Cases: Conclusion:
WCUT : 0 - 70 % For WCUT above 50 % the min Liquid rate is 850 stb/day
Liquid Rate : 150-1100 bbl/day and below 50 % the min Liquid rate is 1050 stb/day
Cases:
WCUT : 0 - 90 %
THP : 50 – 1100 psi

Conclusion:
The Top node pressure needs to be in the range of 50 – 425 psi and the WCUT in the
range of 0-70 % for the WHT to be above 33 deg C
Cases: Conclusion:
THP : 150 - 425 psi Min PI required 0.38 with THP = 150 psi and Min PI
PI : 0.1 – 0.6 required 0.53 for THP = 425 psi
Shut-In Case

Case: Conclusion:
Liquid Rate = 0 STB/day (Shut-In condition) In case of Shut-in conditions the temperature of
Top Node Pressure: 150 psi the fluid drops significantly below the pour
point temperature of 33 deg C.
Conclusion
 For the base case of 150 bbl/day the well does not flow to the surface as
the WHT falls much below 33 deg C

 Possible conditions to meet if the WHT is to be above 33 deg C:

• Min Liquid rate = 850 stb/day (for WCUT above 50%)
• Min Liquid rate = 1050 stb/day (for WCUT below 50%)
• Wellhead pressure needs to be in the range of 150 – 425 psi

 Min PI required is 0.38 with THP = 150 psi and Min PI required 0.53 for THP
= 425 psi

 During Shut-in conditions the WHT falls much below 33 deg C in the top
500m section. So during reopening of the well, we will need some treatment
(Hot oil circulation or Hot water circulation) ready for flowing the well
