1. Dell Boomi is a business unit acquired by Dell in 2010 that specializes in cloud
based integration, API management and Master Data Management. Boomi
was founded in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and first launched its services in 2007.
2. Boomi was founded in 2000, beginning with "configuration-based" integration.
Boomi introduced Technology which allows users to build and deploy
integration processes using a visual interface and a drag and drop technique.
This interface remains one of the key elements of the current Boomi platform.
3. In 2007 BOOMI released the technology now known as "Atom Sphere," an
Integration Cloud. Atom Sphere kept the visual, point and click interface for
building integrations and can be managed through a browser-based UI.

Drawbacks of using dell boomi
1. Dell Boomi for your systems integration needs= Boomi is built with the idea that not only
technical people can do these integrations. This is one reason that higher management of
a company can be "pursued" to purchase it. However, in reality non-technical people can
only achieve very simple integrations with the drag&drop features of the platform. More
technical knowledge is needed because most of the times the requirements are more
complex and require custom scripting/mapping between data formats.
2. NetSuite to Salesforce Integration= The system is very well put together, but it is still a little
heavy to use without the proper technical background.

organisation. They were going through a big simplification, standardisation and
transformation program geared towards operational excellence.
2. Their Challenge=After multiple acquisitions, they wanted to standardise internal
processes and systems with NetSuite being central ERP and being supported by
Human Resources application (Workday), Expense application (SAP Concur),
Treasury application (Treasury), Reconciliation application (Blackline) and other on-

2.Their challenge=Customers send RFPs (Request for Proposal) to multiple hotels for
the sourcing process in Google Forms through our Client which makes the whole process
cumbersome and thus leading to the following problems:
 No automation
 No visibility
 Forces Hotels to re-enter data that the Client already knows
 Troubled user experiences on both sides and low response rates
 The Client was looking to increase productivity and efficiencies for the sourcing team
while building a database as they work and providing easy access for customers and
internal users to view and analyze data.
3. Our Solution=After analysing the problems, the best way to improve the whole process
was to make a highly interactive web-app having a friendly UI which could be achieved by
Dell Boomi Flow plus to use a platform for seamless Data Integration provided by Dell Boomi
AtomSphere.
Our solution included making a responsive UI using Boomi Flow which could bridge the gap
between the users and Salesforce by taking their inputs and directly sending them to be
stored in Salesforce. We developed a group of Boomi Flows and Integration processes to
allow for the creation and management of RFPs, customer templates, and a library of
questions. The following functionalities have been provided in our solution:
Users are given the ability to create custom RFP questions or select from a library of
predefined questions on the fly.
Users can send an RFP from a pre-defined template or from a blank template if they want to
build their RFPs from scratch.
Each RFP recipient (hotels in this particular case) is sent a unique RFP link that automatically
tracks and saves response as the recipient enters them.
The RFP requests, as well as responses, are mapped to Salesforce.
