INTRODUCTION
• Work Immersion, being one of the highlights of the Senior
High school program of the new K-12 curriculum, is
implemented through an actual work approach. With all the
necessary skills and relevant knowledge taught in the Senior
High school in accordance with their specialization, students
undergo into this practicum to understand the work ethics in
the real workplace that can help them to make more
informed career choices and improve their employment
prospects. They will be trained in a specific number of hours
as per required by the curriculum.

• This program does not only show the definite experience in


the work setting but also to provide opportunities to go
through the actual methods of using the real tools, equipment
and documents. In turn, the cooperating agency will be a
training venue to enhance and improve choices in his/her
chosen field of job.

• Conversely, the company or the cooperating agency will


gain benefits in the program. They will acquire more
manpower with lesser labor cost in which they will accept
immersionists that are not paid like a regular employee, thus
a creating a mutualism between the two parties.
IMPORTANCE
• It serves as the student’s viewpoint of the actual
experiences in the workplace through contact and
involvement so that it may aid as information and
guide way to explore the student’s career choice in the
near future.
• It is an instrument for the application of the acquired
knowledge in the school and enhancement of the
skills in the work.
• It is a means for interpersonal communication
development among the staff and personnel of the
agency.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of work immersion is directly related to
the learning experience
• Application of the obtained knowledge and skills from
the school into the workplace and enhancement of
those in accordance with the guidelines and
instruction laid out in the agency.
• Development on the significance of expertise in the
profession and dedication to the people they serve.
• Exposure to the actual work that will provide them
the tough environment of the place.
• Broaden perspectives on the outlook of the work in
the real world that may contribute to the decisions
regarding the career choice in time ahead.
TIME AND PLACE

• The Work Immersion schedule consists of 160 hours


or 20 days. It is performed weekdays except holidays
and Christmas break. The agency was open from 8:00
AM in the morning to 5:00 PM in the afternoon. The
practicum started on 11th day of November 2019 and
ended on December 13, 2019.

DESCRIPTION OF AGENCY
• Rural Health Unit of Cabagan is a public health
institution located at Centro, Cabagan, Isabela beside
the Cabagan Square Park adjacent to the Cabagan
and Santa Maria Road by a street linking with the
road. It provides public health to the municipality
and offers a range of essential healthcare assistance
to the patients in the rural area aside from the
nearby Milagros Albano District Hospital. It intends
to increase access of primary healthcare services for
the people in rural communities who cannot afford
hospitalization and other hospital bills.
