REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

{Axler and Schwarz, 2001). Food items liked today may not be
accepted tomorrow. Although high school students wanted change, a slight
change in an old favorite was usually preferred to a drastic one. For
example, the basic hamburger with a new garnish had a better chance of
appealing to young people than a completely new dish. Because appeal to
the teenager could not be based on subtle flavor changes, emphasis should
be placed on the eye appeal of the food {Axler and Schwarz, 1972).
Appearance, color, texture, and appereance form as well as smell and taste
were especially meaningful.

RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The observation and descriptive method of research will be used in the study using qualitative

inquiry.

Population Sample

The population size of this study consist of 100 students in BNHS. The researcher will

take samples through ramdom sampling.

Data Gathering Procedures

snacks are most preferred and its effect to their nutritional status as

evidenced by their pre and post body mass index. Upon approval of the

validity of the questionnaire, the researcher will administer the

questionnaires to the respondents. After the retrieval of the questionnaires,

the gathered data were prepared for analysis and interpretation.

Statistical Treatment of Data

In analysing and interpreting data, the statistical tool that were used

by the researchers was percentage. This is to determine the preference of
