BY: ROMINA LEI DE VERA AND ELIZA DE JESUS

ATTRACTIONS

LOVE

COMMITMENT
- is the action or power of

evoking interest, pleasure, or liking for

someone or something

- it is a temporary love, but it

can also leads to a one true love.
Types of Attraction

1. Sexual Attraction

It’s about looking at someone and feeling

something toward them in a sexual way.

2. Romantic Attraction

This is a type of attraction where you want to

be in a relationship with the person. You
may want to be with them without
necessarily wanting the sexual aspect of the
relationship.
3. Physical Attraction

It is also called as “sensual attraction”. This is

a desire to be around others, to be
physically cared for and treated with love
and affection.

4. Emotional Attraction

This is where you want to be emotionally

present with another person. It is when you
want to share to them what you are feeling.
5. Aesthetic Attraction

It is an attraction when you notice something

that looks good or cute.
– strong affection for another arising
out of kinship or personal ties.
– affection and tenderness felt by
lovers.
– affection based on admiration.
– it is a complex set of emotions,
behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong
feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth,
and respect for another person.
Types of love according to Ancient Greeks

1. Agape – Unconditional Love

This is an altruistic, selfless, unconditional
love. Few people seem capable of feeling it
long-term.
Some would describe this as a type of spiritual
love because Jesus exhibited this kind of
love for all humans. He was selfless and
sacrificed Himself so that others could be rid
of their sins.
2. Eros – Romantic Love
Eros is named after the Greek god of love and
fertility. Therefore, it is usually associated with
romantic, passionate, and physical love. It is
an expression of sexual passion and desire.
The Greeks also thought that this love was so
powerful and it would result in a loss of
control.
3. Philia – Affectionate Love
It is a kind of love that you fell for your friends.
Greeks also thought that it this kind of love
was better than Eros, because it
represented love between people who
considered themselves equals.
4. Philautia – Self-love
In our modern society, people usually
associate self-love with being narcissistic,
selfish, or stuck on their selves. For the
Greek, self-love is not negative or unhealthy
in any way.
In fact, it’s important to be able to give and
receive love from other people. Another way
to look at self-love is by thinking about it as
self-compassion.
5. Storge – Familiar Love
This love is more like a parent-child love. Just
like Philautia, there’s no physical or sexual
attraction.
But there is a strong bond, kinship, and
familiarity between people.
6. Pragma – Enduring Love
It is almost the opposite of Eros. Pragma is a
love that has matured and developed over a
long period of time. It doesn’t require a lot of
effort in a relationship but they each of them
puts equal efforts to make the other person
happy.
The best example of this are married couple
who have been together since their teenage
years and still hold hands.
7. Ludus – Playful Love
It is a feeling of infatuation in the early days of
romance. It’s the butterflies in your stomach,
the giddiness you feel when you see your
love walk through the door, and the feeling
of never wanting to be without them.
8. Mania – Obsessive Love
This kind of love is not necessarily a good
type of love, because it is obsessive. It is
the type of love that leads someone into
madness, jealousy or even anger.

emotions and feelings of love.
A partnership is about commitment, and
being responsible to that commitment

of the time are.
Married or not married, when you decide
to enter into a partnership with another,
commitment means you act with
integrity, respect, and care – even when
your emotions are telling you otherwise.
