Proverbs 23:26
Let us consider 1 Sam:16:7

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his

appearance or his height, for I have rejected him.
The LORD does not look at the things people look
at. People look at the outward appearance, but
the LORD looks at the heart.”
“Above all else, guard your
heart for everything you do
flows from it.”

Proverbs 4:23
Our incredible heart
Other than GOD and LORD
(Heart is mentioned 725 times in OT and 105 times in NT)
Let us consider these Bible Texts

Matt 5:8: Blessed are the pure in heart: for

they shall see God.
Phil 4:7: And the peace of God, which
passeth all understanding, shall guard your
hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Few more texts on Our Heart

Jashua: 24:23:Put away the foreign gods that are among

you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.

Mathew 11:28-30: for HE is Gentle and Humble in His heart.

Still more texts . . . . . . .........

Ps. 51:10: Create in me a clean heart O’

LORD.

Ps.44:21: He knows the secrets of the heart.

Bible Texts continues . . . . . . .

Rom.8:27: And God , who searches the heart, knows what

is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit interceds for the
saints according to the will of God.

Col.3:15: And the peace of Christ rule in your heart, to

which you were called in one body.
Over One hundred years ago, Sister Ellen G.
White wrote:

“GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS”

(Ellen G. White Miscellaneous Periodical Articles - Book I of III)

God's power alone can change a heart of stone to

a heart of flesh.

Law of God Written in our Hearts.

“Through the grace of Christ we shall live in

obedience to the law of God written upon
our hearts. Having the Spirit of Christ, we
shall walk even as He walked”.
Great Controversy, page 204
Sister Ellen G White wrote on:

 "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know
my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting." We can see how
necessary it is that there should be a union of the human
and the divine. All the heart is to be enlisted in the conflict.
The law of God is to be written in the heart, or the soul will
never obey the truth; for the truth of God may be no truth to
one who may even claim to believe it. Persons may profess
to love the Savior and yet make it manifest that love does
not actuate them in His service. Why is it that the love of
Christ does not wield a constraining power over the life? It is
because it has never been brought into the sanctuary of the
soul; it has never been made the principle of action. "With
the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth, confession is made unto salvation."

(Originally written to a young man in spiritual crisis, this message was published in The Youth's Instructor, February 8, 15, and
March 1, 1894.)
Ellen White’s counsel.

”When sin struggles to dominate in the heart,

when gilt oppresses the soul and burdens the
consciousness, when disbelief blurs the spirit,
remember that grace of Christ is enough to
overcome sin and vanish darkness. By
entering into communion with the Savior we
enter the region of peace.” MC 193.2
An Another quotation from Ellen G. White

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see

God. Matthew 5:8. SD 103.1. The wisdom that is from
above is “first pure.” Into the city of God there will enter
nothing that defiles. All who are to be dwellers there, will
here have become pure in heart. In one who is learning
of Jesus, there will be manifest a growing distaste for
careless manners, unseemly language, and coarse
thought. When Christ abides in the heart, there will be
purity and refinement of thought and manner. SD 103.2

A Harmonious Acceptance

Scriptural account, scientific research,

Medical profession, and Sister white’s
inspired writings harmoniously agree to
this factual function of our HEARTS.
And what is that factual functioning?
Our Incredible Heart
Conventional science has taught us that the main
function of the heart is to pump blood to all the
systems of the body.

TRUE

BUT this definition of the heart is not

complete. Besides pumping blood, the
heart also has an intelligence of its own.
Our Incredible Heart . . . . . . contdinues

Our hearts are characterized by a very powerful

electromagnetic communication system. In fact, it’s 5,000
times more powerful than the brain.
Exploring Your Mind-11, April 2017 in Curiosities

These extraordinary results illustrate that the heart is not

only responsible for blood regulations, but is also a very
powerful intelligence system.

Another quote from Sister White

“Teach our hearts and our lips to praise God for its
unique love. Teach our souls to hope, and to live
in the light radiating of the cross Calvary. We
should never forget that we are sons of the king
heavenly, of the Lord of host s. Is our privilege trust
calmly in God.” MC 195.2

DO YOU KNOW? according to Neurocardiologists after

The idea that we can think with our hearts is no

longer just a metaphor, but is, in fact, a very real fact.
We now know this because the combined research
of two or three fields is proving that the heart is the
major center of intelligence in human beings.

Our Incredible Heart and emotions.

Researchers at Institute of HeartMath, have

found evidence on how certain emotional
states (consciousness) can code different
information into the heart’s electromagnetic
field, sending out a different signal depending
on factors associated with consciousness
(feelings/emotions), as well as send signals to
the brain.

Research evidences

Research has shown that our heart communicates to the

brain in several major ways and acts independently of the
cranial brain.

contains a complex intrinsic nervous system comprised of
multiple ganglia (clusters of neurons) that network with
each other.

Communication.

Scientists have long believed that it was the brain

that sent information and instruct the body on what
to do, and when to do it. This includes the heart, but
we now know (thanks to researchers like those at
HeartMath) that the heart actually sends signals to
the brain.

Heart-Brain Communication reality.

This heart-brain phenomenon has been

studied by scientists and interestingly some
think our hearts essentially do the “thinking
and feeling out” of our environmental
situations, and not the brain.

Little Brian in the Heart

Neurologist Dr. Andrew Amour from Montreal in Canada

discovered a sophisticated collection of neurons in the
heart organized into a small but complex nervous
system. The heart’s nervous system contains around
40,000 neurons called sensory neurites that
communicate with the brain. Dr. Amour called it “the
Little Brain in the Heart”.

So far, the researchers have discovered that the heart

communicates with the brain and body in four way

(1) Neurological communication (nervous system)

(2) Biophysical communication (pulse wave)
(3) Biochemical communication (hormones)
(4) Energetic communication (electromagnetic fields)

The ‘Brain’ Within Your Heart

 David Paterson, Ph.D. a professor at Oxford University, straddles the two

areas of the brain and the heart. His work shows that your brain
is not the sole source of your emotions, but indeed, your heart and
brain work together in producing emotions.

 Your heart actually contains neurons, similar to those in your brain, and
your heart and brain are closely connected, creating a symbiotic
emotional whole.

Heart surgeon Dr. Malone’s position

The “Brain” in your heart communicates back and forth with the
brain in your head. It is a two way steert.

As Malone says, “it is our heart working in tandem with our brain that
allows us to feel for others ... It is ultimately what makes us human...
Compassion is the heart’s gift to the rational mind.”

 Neurocardiologists and many other scientists believe the

heart, which constantly shares information with the brain, has a
brain of its own.

 We now know that the heart sends much more information to

the brain than it receives, including signals that can influence

processes.

The human heart, in addition to its other functions,

actually possesses a heart-brain composed of
about 40,000 neurons that can sense, feel, learn and
remember. The heart brain sends messages to the head
brain about how the body feels and more.

According to Harvard Medical School,

chemical “conversations” between the
heart and the brain affect both organs.
Depression, stress, loneliness, a positive
outlook, and other psychosocial factors
influence the heart. The health of the heart
can also affect the brain and the mind.
