and band master. Mother is Luisa Beltran a noted
singer.
 Studied music composition and harmony in Liceo de
Manila.
 Taught at Ateneo de Manila and Centro Escolar de
Señoritas.
 Founded Buencamino Music Academy in 1930
 He passed away October 16, 1952 and was awarded as
“Outstanding Composer”

 Born on May 15, 1909 in Singalong, Manila.
 Started music lesson at the age of 6 and performs after
2 years in study.
 Usually invited as organist of Pasay Catholic Church.

 He graduated in 1930 at UP Conservatory Music
 Received Bachelor of Music Degree major in piano and

Chicago Musical College.
 He taught at UP Conservatory of Music and became
researcher and official composer of the Philippine
government-in-exile appointed by Pres. Manuel L.
Quezon.
 He composed the music for the documentary film on
Pres. Quezon’s funeral.
 Over 300 compositions he wrote ranging from
classical-pop.
