Introduction
• Today Indian government is very actively promoting Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan but managing the increasing solid waste has been the
biggest concern for Municipal authorities. This solid waste is creating
serious health issues and also disturbing the balance of the
environment. The traditional way of managing and monitoring the
waste collection from bin to bin and doing everything manually is a
very complicated and tough process and here probability of getting
wrong information is more. Thus, the need of a robust solid waste
management system arises, where an authority can get information
right from filling of garbage bins, picking up of bins by the waste
collecting vehicles and movement of those vehicles to the waste
dumping sites.
• The top ten solid waste management companies ranking remained
the same from 2009, and all of those firms posted revenue increases
from the previous year. And, looking farther down the list, the rankings
are populated with companies that did the same work.
ABSTRACT
• In recent year, with the speedy development in the digital contents
identification, automatic classification of the images became most
challenging task in the fields of computer vision. Automatic
understanding and analysing of images by system is difficult as
compared to human visions. Several research have been done to
overcome problem in existing classification system, but the output was
narrowed only to low level image primitives. However, those approach
lack with accurate classification of images. In this paper, our system
uses deep learning algorithm to achieve the expected results in the
area like computer visions. Our system present Convolutional Neural
Network (CNN), a machine learning algorithm being used for
automatic classification the images. Our system uses the Digit of
MNIST data set as a bench mark for classification of grayscale
images. The grayscale images in the data set used for training which
require more computational power for classification of images. By
training the images using CNN network we obtain the 98% accuracy
result in the experimental part it shows that our model achieves the
high accuracy in classification of images.
EXISTING SYSTEM
• We do have waste lying in cities which makes it hard for cleaning
staff to know which area requires attention and garbage, waste
pickup With swachh bharat App ,it require people to take pictures
and geo tag the images, due to which adoption is low. With the done
connectivily and intelligent , patterns matching the drone can fly in
designated coverage help monitor the waste Mapping the location
on a map with the waste quantity index .so that the waste
management team.can quickly take action based on the wastage
level thrown in area.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• Tracking a waste management vehicle on the Position Logic GPS
tracking platform gives businesses an edge by ensuring managers
that drivers are doing their job and that their vehicles and equipment
are being used properly and safely. Managers stay informed of
areas where operations can be streamlined. GPS tracking
devices with external antennae are very accurate and particularly
beneficial to waste management fleets. Sensors can be attached to
monitor fuel levels, power take-off (which can monitor both the
engine and the compactor), and even temperature, so businesses
can be sure their assets are operating safely and only when
authorized. The Position Logic GPS tracking software
platform sends all of this data to designated mobile devices and
computers in an easy-to-read format, so waste management
companies can boost efficiency and performance, reduce
unauthorized use, and improve their bottom line while protecting
their assets.
Advantages

• Live status update of all cleaning vehicles on Map

• Actual status of Bins collected across the city
• Better utilization of the resources
• Cleaner and better city
Algorithm
• Convolutional neural networks (CNN)
.
Modules
GIS Data Capturing:
• A team of field engineers capture bin locations and route data with
the help of handheld GPS devices. This data is displayed on the
maps.
GPS Installation: -
• All the vehicles and machines involved in waste collection process
are fitted with high quality GPS devices. These vehicles are then
assigned the wards and routes they are supposed to serve.
RFID Reader installations and Bin Tagging:
• All the waste collecting vehicles are fitted with RFID readers as
shown in the image below . Also the bins are tagged with RFID
tags and their geo-location in different ward are added into the
System
Web Interface:
• Highly scalable and secure application to monitor all the on field
activity of Solid Waste Management.

Conclusion
• This paper presents a geo tracking way of managing the waste, so
that not only the whole process becomes efficient, but also, the
disposal of waste is done in a productive way. Besides, food
industry, healthcare, tourism, and other such departments can take
benefit from the available resources related with waste
management, with the proposed cloud-based waste management, a
smarter way of handling and disposal of waste is created. This
paper also presents a localization system, which is able to track the
localization is equipped with GPS and GSM devices. The
client/owner can easily monitor the current location of the vehicle at
any time. Web application is the proposed system for live monitoring
of the vehicle and solid waste collection process. This model can be
used for effective management of solid waste collection and
disposal, and help in reducing time taken to collect and dispose
solid waste.
Feature work
• As the main aim of this work is the application of an operational and
monitoring waste collection. Future work will focus on the
enhancement of the proposed approach and geo tagging of smart
bins for shortest route technique for vehicles using optimization
algorithms for efficient collection of solid waste management
