Causes of Crime in
Belize
The crime rate over the past few years as stated by Sander’s (2003) has been
seen as an “Overwhelming phenomenon beyond the capacity of the
individual national police force” (p.377).

Causes of Crime in Belize
For the purpose of this research, the collection of the data involved the utilization
of a structured questionnaire that had a total of 10 questions.
A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed.
The aim of the questionnaire is to recognize the participant’s opinions
concerning the research topic.

Figure 2 shows the average of individuals who feel safe in their community
or surroundings.

way the criminal justice systems handles crime.
