What is globalization and
education?
The term "globalization" means
integration of economies and
societies through cross country
flows of information, ideas,
technologies, goods, services,
capital, finance and people.

Refers to an increasing
interconnectedness and
convergence of activities and
forms of life among diverse cultures
throughout the world.

Cultural diversity is the quality of diverse or


different cultures, as opposed to
monoculture, the global monoculture, or
a homogenization of cultures, akin to
cultural decay. The phrase
cultural diversity can also refer to having
different cultures respect each other's
differences.
What is sovereignty of a state?

State sovereignty is the concept


that states are in complete and
exclusive control of all the people
and property within their
territory. State sovereignty also
includes the idea that all states are
equal as states.
What does sovereign nation mean?

A sovereign nation is a nation that


has one centralized government
that has the power to govern a
specific geographic area.

globalization brings forth more
standardization and cultural
homogeneity, while also bringing
more fragmentation through the rise
of locally oriented movements.
What is cultural homogeneity?
Cultural Homogeneity is a measure
(between zero and one) of how similar agents
are across an entire population.
Cultural homogeneity is defined as the
number of shared facts across all possible pairs
of agents divided by the total possible number
of shared facts across all agents in a
population.
Cultural Homogeneity
A society that achieves a cultural
homogeneity of one is "perfectly
stable.“
Perfect stability means that the
society is in a steady state and no
further connections can change any
agent's knowledge.

and expansion of multinational
and transnational enterprises.

internationalist impulse that the world is
connected. Globalism also refers to the
connection among cultures, nations, and
peoples. It embodies cultural diffusion, the
desire to consume and enjoy foreign
products and ideas, adopt new
technologies and practices, and
participate in “world culture”.
